Dallas 2012 - Roll Tide v. Go Blue
Now that the Super Bowl is complete (congrats Charles Woodson !!! ), the obvious next big event scheduled in Dallas is Alabama vs. Michigan.
I cannot remember the last time we played a true "neutral" site game ... if we ever have (other than "bowl games". So what exactly is the protocol ? Does Michigan get "half" the stadium ? Will season ticket holders get a chance at tickets ? Has anyone heard anything in regard to how the tickets will be made available to the public ? or how such events have been handled in the past ?
Never to early to start saving up for a nice road trip to Dallas ! Thanks for any info, and ...
Go Blue !

Should be a great game. I agree with pinkfloyd2000: hopefully Jerry Jones and his idiotic people will check with the fire marshall ahead of time so we don't lose our seats.
Not sure who will get how many tickets, but I'm guessing there will be more Bama fans than there are us. They travel en masse to all these away games, and Dallas isn't all that far for them to drive. While visiting family over the holidays down south, we noticed HUGE numbers of Alabama fans driving to and from the Outback Bowl in Tampa - as we were travelling pretty much the same route before and right after New Year's.
I propose a big tailgate at the Dallas game for all the Mgobloggers.

great game. Michigan is still 4 to 5 years away from being competitive at the Alabama level. I wish it were otherwise but I am a realist.
All we can hope for is not a fiasco similar to the Alabama/ Michigan State game. The mismatch was epic.

Hopefully that is not the case. Harbaugh brought Stanford to elite level in 4 years and Stanford football was worse off then we are now.
Denard will be a senior, the team will have some good experience on D and I believe that Michigan will be very competitive against Alabama. Alabama was one of the most highly talented teams in the country this year. They lost 3 games somehow (is the great Saban fallible?) and were "loaded for bear" in that bowl game. But I refuse to believe they are out of our league.
I'm going to assume that Hoke is a good coach and will build on RR's talent base. I'm really optimistic that Hoke can take advantage of the quickness of the current players on the roster and maturity will make us a good defense. Denard is a special talent and I think that will make give us a chance in every game that year.

Why all the random use of quotation marks?

Hey man, don't be a "hater."

I'm hoping to score a cheap flight for this one. Given the travel involved I don't think tickets will be that hard to come by.

I hear they are putting up temporary seats for an mgoblog section.

I have to say that while watching the SuperBowl (contrats, Charles!!), I was impressed by how nice that stadium looked. Obviously, to me the Big House is the greatest stadium in all the land, but that stadium was really nice.
I am already looking into travel options.

Can't wait to hear the national anthem (done properly this time) at the stadium.
Also: roof should be open if they're doing a fly by

I'm so excited for this game! I'm taking a road trip to all the games in 2012 with a couple of my roommates, and this one is going to be the best (pending the outcome).
The new stadium looks amazing, and I'm just hoping we get actual seats to go along with our tickets and that the national anthem/halftime show is better than it was for the super bowl.
I'm sure there will probably be more Alabama fans thanks to the distance, but I'm sure enough of us will show up to make up for it volume-wise.
