Williamson said publicly that he could very well commit at Junior Day. So if he did indeed commit, I don't know why it would be a commitment of the "silent" or "mystery" variety. That's why I think it's someone else.

full list of junior day visitors. I'm assuming most of them are going to be more of the local variety...but any chance it would be Lo or Cornelius? I know we've got some pretty strong interest from both.

"ive got news for you. the spread doesnt work well in the snow" From RCMB thread about Austin White maybe being the mystery commit. Didn't the SpreadHD drop 60 on MSU in the snow?

MSU wouldn't know what to do with Austin White in their offense to begin with. Edwin Baker is the perfect featured back for them. White would be a nice complement to Baker, but what are they gonna do? Send him up the middle? Yeah, right.

Okay, my two cents on Austin White, assuming it is him: Yeah, we know about the disciplinary stuff, but let's put it aside for a minute (after all -- RR has worked wonders with some of these "questionable" recruits before). I have the same questions you guys do, but our scheme is great for him as a slot guy. He's very, very elusive and shifty, and he's versatile. SHS used him both as a receiver and as a RB. I've heard he has great hands, and so forth. Now there aren't a lot of available free clips out there, but there is a highlight reel from SHS from last year. White is number 23: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5a0WoE6VLE Obviously very versatile, can cut on a dime, start/stop, and make people miss easily, pretty good acceleration, has good height for a slot guy (5'11" or 6'0" or so), good playmaker, has a good frame to add bulk Needs to get bigger, more powerful -- not an up the gut guy, but here, that's probably fine -- doesn't really have great breakaway speed, etc. He'd be a nice addition, I think -- disciplinary issues aside.

Talent-wise, he's the ninth best RB we've offered. Six of those RB's were ranked in the Rivals 250 (White wasn't), and I think Hopkins and Hall are better than him. That leaves Cassius McDowell as the only one whose talent isn't necessarily better. So would his talent be a nice addition? Sure. I guess. Are there guys I'd rather have? Yeah, several. When you figure in those personality issues, do I still want him? Eh...
