OT: The Hat waxes eloquent on the BP oil spill
""Well, it uh, the impact is more of a ... you know ... anything, anything along the ... the uh ... the ... shore and those issues are very serious issues and there ... the impact is on the ... the uh (long pause)..."
Much more of Les's nuanced and informed take on the BP oil spill here:

at first glance, i thought you meant Hat Guy
Saw this yesterday...his public speaking skills are brutal.
wow that was brutal on the ears
but the word "inarticulate" doesn't do justice to the world-class mumbling that Les spewed forth.
BALL.
And some of those irrational Michigan fans complain about RR's use of Lion King metaphors.
Amen.
It's almost as though Miles was unaware that there was an oil spill to begin with, but realized he had to keep his lips moving without letting on that he was clueless. Didn't succeed.
that unless the Hat is winning football games, he's just a nutty F***er?
Are bleeding.
I loved the comment on Huff Post by "bapster":
More coherent speaker: Les Miles on the oil spill or Alvin Greene in his first stump speech?
Of course, there's also our friend, Basil Marceaux, running for governor in Tennessee....
I tried to watch Miles on ESPN for SEC media day, and all I could think of was how glad I am that he didn't end up at Michigan. People can rip on RR's accent all day, but after all of the stereotyping is over, RR is pretty articulate. Miles looksand sounds like he was the kid who waited until last to give every speech in public speaking class, and never really got over it.
Les' response to your critique of his speaking style:
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."
(pause)
... the ocean.
(pause)
... the ocean. Have a greaaaat day.
/* fixed it */
I cannot believe that this man has an econ degree from Michigan. How the hell did he pull that off? He comes off as a complete meathead every time he opens his mouth.
to General Studies. Ask Harbaugh.
There are plenty of geeks who can do some amazing things with computers, but cannot speak a lick.
Are you implying Les Miles is an intellectual? Because uhh...
On moral systems and the nature of the coach-athlete relationship as the origin Man's moral compass ... Oh, wait, I think I'm confusing him with Nietzsche. Never mind.
C'mon, if that's not a very sincere oil spill, I don't know what is. I mean, that Exxon Valdez one would just lie to your face.
