Guess we will have to see what Joyce has to say. I thought Johnny Damon was out at first in the bottom of the 8th but Joyce called him safe.
Also the catch by Jackson was spectacular
That was an ass-fucking of epic proportions.
Jim Joyce ought to be thankful he has a union to protect his sorry ass. That still might not be enough. Where is Roberto Alomar when you need him?
I've never imagined being this angry after a win.
ugh. OG Photo was removed. Here is one I took off a screencap.
Dong punch
They'll never do this, but I would love to see MLB give Galarraga the perfect game retroactively by overturning the safe call, calling it an out. I don't think Joyce should be fired, but I also think he shouldn't be allowed to call a game the rest of the year. What a joke.
Holy shit. It might be time for instant replay in baseball. That was total fucking garbage.
the replay joyce is watching cabrera field the ball and doesn't even get his head around to the play at first until its too late to get a great view. What a joke
I got up on my high horse, and was ready to proclaim that whomever is the MLB Commissioner should have the guts to step in and reverse this call. I can't imagine that Jason Donald (or his agent) or the Indians would object.
Then I googled "MLB commissioner," and realized that Bud Selig still has the job. He became acting commissioner in 1992, and never left.
With all that he and baseball have been through, could he not make an executive decision to reverse the call? Who would object?
