Best thing you saw: Week 5

Submitted by mi93 on

Hopefully Wifeday 2017 (or Spouseday or Husband-day so we're all-inclusive) was a success wherever you may be.  Luckily, I still got to watch a bit of football.  And while UCLA - Colorado looks like it'll be a good an entertaining game throughout, it's time to call it a night here.  With that...

Non-Michigan:

Not gonna' lie, seeing the ESS-EEE-SEE look like hot trash is a little fun.  Frankly, it looks like we're heading toward Bama-Clemson III, but there's still lots of season and maybe, just maybe, Auburn and/or Georgia can get lucky on the right day.

Regardless, somebody called it a couple weeks ago that the best thing they saw was the Iowa Wave.  This week, the best thing I saw was the Spartans doing a live feed back to Iowa City and joining the Iowa team in its weekly wave.  Easily the classiest move out of EL since...ever?  It was cool to see them do that, and proper respect due for it.

Michigan:

Still 4-0!  Woo!  BEAT STAEE!  And, oh yeah, the best thing I saw was the James Joseph Can Opener.  Who knew?  So talented in khakis.

What you got?

It’s going to the Iron Bowl that week because it’s the SEC, and the media will still spin everything to it being the most dominant conference. I’m calling it right now.

Unless of course both UM and OSU win out up to that point. Then there’s a real shot after all the drama that surrounded last year’s game.

floundering around and looking vulnerable. The Game Day people saw it, too, and thought: massacrees aren't always that fun to watch for the general public.

We, on the other hand, will savor every fumbledropsack.

Forget Wife Day. This has been The Wire Weekend for me. I received the DVD box set of the series a couple Christmases ago but never got around to watching it until now. I took Friday off and started binging. I am 8 episodes into the first season. I'm not ready to move it into my top five or top ten, but it is entertaining. The theme song could be better and the lighting was terrible. But that was probably a choice to reflect the mood of the show. The real surprise is how many Baltimore gang-bangers are fans of Michigan football and this Blog.

Outside of FSU, who has Alabama played??? The sec is trash and FSU is looking like trash after each week... I have not been impressed with cfb so far; only thing exciting about cfb is Saquon Barkley until he meets Devin Bush and our Don Brown defense.
