When and where can we buy those cleats?
Specifically the ones Drake Harris was showing off... Are these going on sale to the public at some point?

Why does that matter!?
August 5th, 2016 at 10:49 AM ^
Because they're football cleats.
August 5th, 2016 at 10:49 AM ^
Football? Never.
Rugby sometimes, Ultimate Frisbee often.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:04 AM ^
You do know rugby doesn't allow the front cleat, right? Since you play rugby.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:10 AM ^
Yeah that would be an issue, but it can be fixed. Depending on the cleat design it may even be fine as is (I can't see anything in this photo).
All I had when I started playing was an old pair of football cleats and I just ground that front cleat down to a nub. It's not that big of a deal.
August 5th, 2016 at 12:58 PM ^
Football cleats are the best for Ultimate. Would love to get some of these. Not holding my breath, though.
August 5th, 2016 at 10:44 AM ^
maybe he's just cutting the grass in them, who cares, it's his business.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:03 AM ^
True Story. Mowing the lawn in Jordans is actually what tipped the French over into revolt against Louis XVI

Positive single to you, sir.
August 5th, 2016 at 10:44 AM ^
If they were to go on sale.. they would be like $350-$400 a pair.
If you go on Nike's website you can make custom cleats and that's what they go for..
Jumpman cleats will be way more expensive.

Quick. Someone light the WD signal!

August 5th, 2016 at 10:51 AM ^
Unless you want them for a collectible or play football, I haven't a clue as to why someone would want to buy those.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:21 AM ^
... Because they look amazing. And literally any sport played on grass uses cleats.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:33 AM ^
These are specifically for football. There is a difference in cleats for other sports.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:44 AM ^
I'm not playing professionally, no one cares if I'm wearing the correct style of cleats (except for possibly having to grind down a front cleat a bit).
And while cleats are a big advantage over running shoes on a field, I have played in soccer cleats and football cleats and they don't feel any different from one another.
August 5th, 2016 at 10:51 AM ^
There are things the public can buy, and cannot buy. These are one of them.
Team issued-only. There are also pieces of apparel that are team issued only.
August 5th, 2016 at 10:55 AM ^
I thought that might be the case, but I figured I'd ask people here just in case.
Thanks!
August 5th, 2016 at 10:56 AM ^
Do you have any info on the AJ Trainer's or the shoes (can't remember the name of them) that Harbaugh and some of the players were wearing at the unveiling? Not the AJ Trainer Low's that are going on sale tomorrow. Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
August 5th, 2016 at 11:02 AM ^
No data available at the moment.
Those may be team-issued as well. There's a NIKE shoe coming out in a few weeks. The Game Trainer 5.0 for $110.
(Oregon version)
August 5th, 2016 at 11:08 AM ^
I have seen those on the Nike site and Football Fanatics and was wondering if Michigan was going to get a version. I will keep an eye for those or if you could give a heads up on the board when you get a firm release date it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the info!
August 5th, 2016 at 11:35 AM ^
I am buying these bad boys tomorrow, assuming I am able.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:39 AM ^
I'm really on the fence about getting those! Wolverine Devotee indicates there will be a Trainer 5.0 Michigan Version dropping in a few weeks so not sure which one's to go with. Really tempted to pull the trigger though!
August 5th, 2016 at 11:48 AM ^
I may be in the minority, but I think the AJ Trainer 1 look better than Trainer 5.0.
August 5th, 2016 at 12:13 PM ^
I don't think either of them look too bad actually. I wouldn't put one over the other I suppose. I do like the one's the players had on better than either of those though.
August 5th, 2016 at 12:22 PM ^
They're $125. M Den will have limited quantities, but nike.com will have them, too. I hate to take business from the M Den, but since these are limited quantities, I need to take what I can get.
August 5th, 2016 at 12:32 PM ^
They will also have a release from Footlocker although according to their release calendar won't be until Monday. So in case you can't get them from Nike either you may be able to grab some from Footlocker then. The MDEN limited quantities worries me also. I read somewhere where they don't think they will last the day at their store.....so it will be dicey to get a pair from them to say the least.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:57 AM ^
I will definitely be getting these!
August 5th, 2016 at 12:12 PM ^
Wish they made those with the pattern in blue (i.e. one color, like the cleats) and the Jumpman in maize. That would look great.

They actually have 10 schools already released. I think OSU, FSU, Alabama, Oregon, MSU, Georgia, Texas among others. I think Wolverine Devotee has found some info that they are but I haven't seen it on any release calendars yet. Hopegully they will.

Those are the same one's being released at MDEN tomorrow. There were a pair of shoes that the players and Harbaugh were wearing at the unveiling that I was trying to see if there was going to be a release. Also, Wolverine Devotee indicates that there will be a release of the above pictured (Oregon Version) Flywire Trainer 5.0 in the coming weeks. Thanks for the Footlocker info though...I didn't know they were going to have the AJ Trainer Lows.
August 5th, 2016 at 11:50 AM ^
Are these team issue only?
August 5th, 2016 at 12:06 PM ^
Yes...those very well could be. Baumgardner had a pic (David Long's locker) of those on MLIVE on August 1st. I'd rather have those to be honest but if they aren't releasing them will have to go with the other AJ Trainer Low's.
August 5th, 2016 at 12:10 PM ^
Those are perfect, look a lot better than the other two shown in this thread.

Likely never. I have never seen Jordan release team specific cleats. In fact even though many players play with AJ cleats I can’t recall them even being available publicly. Golf shoes are the closets I’ve seen in a while

has to award you a well earned helment sticker before you are allowed to buy these.

If you're looking for Jordan cleats they do sell them.
I know the Jordan 12's were available not long ago and last year the Jordan 7's were available for purchase. If you're a 12.5 or size 16 they're on discount here...
