MGoVideo would like your support
MGoVideo is something many people in the Michigan community are very proud of, and quite a bit of effort goes into putting out a commodity that you can find very few other places. The HD video clips in the UFR's this year are something I'm sure you've all enjoyed, despite the season ending up not so great.
Between the research that has gone into finding ways to putting out the highest quality content at the lowest possible size, running a very attractive http frontend/tracker, and recruiting new cappers/uploaders, it would be extremely difficult to quantify the hours each contributor has put into MGoVideo.
We're very excited to share with you that we're about to take the tracker to the next level. Through our own success, we've attracted a new dedicated capper who has the ability to record all the games on ESPN/ESPN2/and the Big Ten Network. He's put in quite a bit of capital to build a new encoding machine on his own that will put out content in an expedient manner.
He's a bit stretched though, and he's looking for a bit of help in having some donations thrown his way for the new beta version of VideoRedo that will allow him to edit commercials out of H.264 streams. This will allow him to cut the commercials out of the HD recordings from his HD PVR.
He has already demonstrated his skill to put out recordings with the same level of quality you're all accustomed to; http://mgovideo.com/details.php?id=158
Based on this, we would ask you to consider supprorting mgovideo by visiting the main page to make a donation to bndp, as well as jwhouchin (his paypal address can be found here in this thread; http://mgovideo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topicid=52&page=p304#304)
I've never profited from any work on mgovideo, and have no desire to do so. I do it because I enjoy reliving the many wonderful memories of Michigan sports, and I believe many others share the same feeling.
I do ask you to consider giving back in whatever means available to you, so that we may have continued success.

Illegal File Sharing!!!
I love what you do, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to give money to support your illegal endeavors.

Believe me, I would quit tomorrow if I could purchase every game in HD off of iTunes. I'm not going to get into the right or wrong of it with you or anyone else, but if there was a commercially available product, I would have about 5 hours a week of my life back.

What this man said. The day that the athletic department or the BTN starts selling me full games, I'll quit uploading and downloading games. Until then, I've got no other way of acquiring lots of Michigan contests.

bingo. it's all about the $$$ and rebroadcast rights.
It really frustrates me that they haven't monetized this quicker. My God, if certain NFL/NCAA teams put out games in 1080p on BluRay (ABC only broadcasts in 720p/CBS in 1080i)...
Serious untapped revenue stream here.

That stuff is legal over here in Canada; I'll be getting me a paypal to support this grey area within the Canadian legal system.

...I'll stop supporting.
Given the university's history with this sort of thing, I'd almost be willing to bet that the they would absorb this rather than kill it. One can hope... Right?!
Oops... Meant as a reply to OMG Shirtless.
