Michigan vs. Utah - Guess the Score: Unofficial Edition (For Charity)

Submitted by boliver46 on

I know we already have Guess the Score, Win Stuff: Utaugh

However, I thought it'd be fun to make predictions regarding tonight's final score - and to benefit a good cause along the way!

Closest Guess to the Final Score Tonight, and I will make a $25 Donation to your favorite charity! (No Human Funds, please).

I will use the first rule from the MGoBlog guess the score rules:

1. Readers predict the final score of a designated game by placing a guess in the comments, preferably in the format of [M score][hyphen][Opp score], for example "41-30" or "35-31 Michigan", or "28-24 Go Blue", or "38-0 Harbaugh!" etc.

and add another of my own:

2. Place the name of the charity of your choice in the body

Predictions involving scores where Utah wins will get a $10 donation.  /s

And one more:

3. Go Blue

DON'T FORGET TO LIST YOUR CHARITY!!!!

Final

I think it's a game that defenses muck up a little bit similar to 2010 Michigan/Notre Dame (Denard - "shoelaces floppin' in the wind!"). If you remember that game, it wasn't low scoring, but there was no flow at any point in the game. I see a similar type game with a choppy flow where both teams feel like they could've played better.

24-16 MICHIGAN

The two teams turn out to play very similar football and Utah's kicker makes four field goals while their passing game struggles.

Michigan 33, Utah 19. Michigan will win the defensive battle and rely on a heavy dose of run game to grind down Utah's defense that will let up in the middle of the 3rd.

The toughest, nastiest, and most confident team wins, 20-16.    Amazingly, it's us, and Utah asks for an investigation into who these Michigan players actually were.

I will also match the OP and donate $25 to #eating in the winner's name

Democracy Now isn't technically a charity, it's an honest and informative news, analysis & commentary show that operates solely on donations from ordinary people, no advertising and no corporate donations, support or funding which completely corrupts almost all so called news, & commentary in this country. Honest news, and focus on truly important issues that other news orgs. either don't cover or cover honestly, well or in depth, leads to an informed public, required for democracy, who will be able to push for good policy that solves problems for the masses rather than relying on charity as a poor band-aid for the few. So if that's close enough then please do that. https://www.democracynow.org/donate

If not then The Rosenberg Fund for Children

Michigan 38
Utah 17

Offense comes out and does what they're supposed to do. Drake Harris comes in and has a coming out party, establishing himself as a much needed playmaker. Defense and special teams score a touchdown each.
