Um, I posted this a few days ago, but okay.
It was on UM's Job Board.

all University job openings must be posted there.

I believe you are correct. I remember looking for a job a couple of years ago and seeing an assistant and head coaching vacancies for the basketball team (might have been the women's team). It is kind of funny reading the expected skills/experience sections.

Public universities require official postings/public searches, even in the case of a Chairman appointment which is often internal.

Interesting that recruiting is listed first under the job description. Maybe they learned their lesson after they hired Hopson and left that part out along with "ability to coach linebackers".

And i'll give you 2 points because I really do care!

Screw you losers, Me and my ass-less chaps have found a new home.
December 28th, 2009 at 2:28 PM ^
. . . assless? Wouldn't they just be pants otherwise?
December 28th, 2009 at 11:23 PM ^
Yes and no.
Just cutting the ass out a pair of pants doesn't automatically make them chaps; (do some research man!) and you'd certainly be laughed out of any of the finer establishments that cater to the chap connoisseur.
By the way, my ass-less chaps don't just expose my ass; they accentuate it.
In a word, they're "chaptastic"!

Let's be honest here. I have 100% certainty that any Mgoblog poster could have coached Michigan to back-to-back bowl-less seasons.
December 28th, 2009 at 2:31 PM ^
Could they have done it without getting their ass kicked by the players?
December 28th, 2009 at 4:12 PM ^
Depends on my salary and my ability to either hire Blackwater-esque security guards or else telecommute to work for the last half of the season.
Actually the best job for any Michigan fanw ould have been to contact themselves out to teams that played us when DeBoard was the O-Coord. Most of us in the stands could call 90+% of the players before they were run. Of course when you have Jake Long to run block its fairly obvious what play you'll call a lot.

Brian posted the link to the head coaches job during the search for RR.
It said the job required 40 hours per week--not too shabby.

I just applied!
