OT: 49ers Aldon Smith arrested for DUI and hit & run
San Francisco 49ers LB Aldon Smith was arrested last night for a DUI and hit & run. This is his third alcohol related arrest since entering the NFL. Hope he get the help he needs. The 49er defense on the other hand continues to take devastating losses when you add this to the retirement of Patrick Willis, Chris Borland, and Justin Smith.

Require jail time if multiple dui's?
I was a judge in Colorado a long time ago and the first guy I had to put behind bars was due to his third DUI. He was a nice young thug. I made him stay in jail at night and got him a job with the park & rec in the town.
He took a hard left after the first night, never to be seen again.
I would stay very clear away from that cat.

The concept of living behind bars had an adverse impact on him. I found out later that he also had a theft charge that had not yet gone to trial. He was probably headed for the Big House in Colorado if convicted of that.
The trash remained.
