OT: is anyone still watching True Detective?
I had to upvote you three because Mr Robot is incredible. Remi Malek is incredible in it.
Right now the 2 best shows are Power on STARZ with Ray Donavan on SHOWTIME a close second.

But for MM and Woody in Season 1, I didn't think the show was all that. Changing cast was dooming season 2 to be a big drop off. Still disapointed that this season isn't better, though. I'll finish watching because its not terrible and I'm invested, but its not great tv either. Hoping Rachel McCadams gets down and dirty next week, at least.
And I'd still be pumped if they go back for season 3, but the critical response to this season has me worried.
Why did everyone (myself included) expect season 2 to be good?
It's a totally different story with all new characters, etc. The ONLY real thing the show had going for it was the title of the show was the same one a former great show (season 1).
This would be like a new show coming out called "Cheers" and it's about some hole in the wall bar in Kentucky or some college town bar or whatever. The point is the chance that any new show has of being a great one is a long shot.
Sure there's a lot of the same writers, creator, etc but that's still not enough. They should have tried keeping the same characters from season 1 and moving to another case with them as they had a winner. I assume that the main characters probably didn't want to do anymore than just one season.
Season 1 was a powerhouse season of tv. I figured at worst we would get a great season of tv. Unfortunately for me, this season has been average at best.
Did anyone notice the Brady Hoke clone in the sexual harassers support group last episode? I mean, it was a bit uncanny...

But yes, the show sucks this season. "It's like blue balls in my heart" was the most unintentionally funny line of TV this year. Onto Mr. Robot.
