Churchill Downs, or LSU at the Superdome, or UCLA at the Staples Center.

Seriously, the cost point for the attractiveness of the neutral site games will break at some point.  Its sort of like the Beef o'Brady Bowl, at some point the cost of travel for fans is too much, the cost for the team's travel is too much, and cost of tickets will be too much.  Sure advertising is great for putting on these games, but there is a limit.

The best exposure for any team is winning.

This is a good policy.

Shoot I wouldn't mind seeing the Bighouse as a "neutral site" host for OOC games.  Our stadium is the biggest around and we have a population of people who will buy tickets for good matchups.  I don't know if this would interrupt Michigan's play schedule but if done as a weeknight game I think maybe not?

There are negatives to those games but they help with exposure, they will always be against top programs which if you win helps with strength of schedule, and of coarse the cash they can pay out if the contract is done correctly.
