Fuck Cancer
In a few minutes, I am driving my wife to see the room where they are goiing to give her radiation for colon cancer. It was kind of a surprise to us, we thought it was just some kind of blockage or something. Anyway, just a reminder - cherish the ones you love. And Fuck Cancer.
they passed away 4 months apart. My Father on the day of Michigan @ OSU a few years ago. Both in their early 70's.

Good luck and best wishes from all of us here.
Im sorry to hear about this. Hopefully she can kick Cancers ass!! Best wishes to you both .
prayers for you both.
I'm so sorry, man. I'm starting my PhD in cancer immunotherapy this year at Stanford with the hope of making a difference in the lives of people who are afflicted by this shitty disease. My best to you and your wife. You can beat it.
Wanted to drop a couple bible verses about faith that you or anyone on the board can use in times of trouble: MGoJesus
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Prayers out for you and yours!
My wife is a Pediatric oncology nurse, and the kids and parents she treats always puts any of my issues (house, work, generaly being tired) into perspective. I hope the radiation treatment works.
I know that cancer treatment has come a long way and that a lot have a pretty good survival rate, so good luck.
I'll never understand how people can work with sick kids like that. I played Santa for some kids at Children's Hospital, once, and I still can't get the images out of my head 15 years later. I was the least jolly Santa ever.
+1 to your wife. Smack her on the ass and tell her The Mad Hatter says thanks.
She's a saint.
Best wishes from yours truly - remember you're not alone, ask for help when you need it, and people will take care of each other. It's how humans work. Good luck!
As a cancer survivor myself (treated in 2001 and 2002 at the UM hospital) I entirely agree with F*CK CANCER. I hope they caught it early and that it hasn't spread at all.
Hope she gets through this tough time
So many thoughts and prayers from this blog to support you and your wife, and you have mine as well!
And to all the others on here who have experienced and fought cancer, blessings to you!
What a great community.
Fvck Cancer!
Not a big cusser but I can get on board with that! Just lost a close friend and great person to this horrible diesease last Sunday
We are all on your side
Thinking of you. Hang in there.
And yeah, fuck cancer.
Best wishes to you and your wife. Cancer has taken close family members from me, so I am all too familiar with that bastard. Thoughts and prayers.
I recently read somewhere that cancer can't grow in an alkaline environment. In America these days, most people's body's are acidic. The reason for this is the foods we consume. Get her as much alkaline food as possible alongside her medical treatment.. Who knows whether or not it is true, but it's worth a shot. prayers and good luck to you and yours.
I hope all goes well for you, your wife and your family.
I do not respond to posts containing profanity, however due to the nature of this and the fact that I work in the cancer research field, I wholeheartedly share your sentiments. I want to mention that there are currently many new innovations including competitive inhibition therapies, multiple target synergistic strategies and enhanced immunological response approaches plus many many new ways to both assess and treat cancer. I certainly know nothing of your wife's case but will tell you that there are many reasons to be optimistic today. Your wife and family are in my prayers.
you're a lot of fun at parties.
Mom had minor throat cancer & somehow beat it.
Nephew died from lukemia.
Wife has had 6 Melanoma surgeries in the last 6 months. (no she was never really a tanner)
Currently in a wait & see holding pattern. fingers crossed.
Stay strong . . .USE SUNBLOCK!
That will hopefully bring a chuckle...
A few years ago, my wife had a bacterial infection in her intestines called "C. Diff". It required very expensive ($85 per dose, 4x per day for 21 days) medication to treat it. In the meantime, it landed her in the hospital (this is not the funny part).
To confirm C. Diff (and nothing even worse, like colon cancer) she underwent a colonoscopy (still not the funny part). Naturally, she was anesthetized.
(Now the funny part) As she regained consciousness, she started singing this song...
EDIT: I contemplated adding this song to the "earworms" thread, but this seems way more appropriate.
fuck cancer.
you have my thoughts and prayers.
From my family to yours, I wish your wife the best of luck in her battle with cancer.
