OT: Carson-Newman vs. Grand Valley

Submitted by A2toGVSU on
ESPN (and Pam Ward. ugh) are in Allendale, Where my GVSU Lakers are playing the Carson-Newman Eagles in the national semifinals. Grand Valley, after a 9-1 regular season earned a no. 3 seed in the playoffs. Their only loss came in GLIAC conference play to Hillsdale college. GVSU avenged that loss in the first round of the playoffs. Things you should know about GVSU: Head coach Chuck Martin took over the helm after Brian Kelly left for Central Michigan Starting RB James Berezic is hurt, but his backup is P.T. Gates, who broke Reggie Bush's San Diego County rushing records and originally signed a LOI to play at Colorado. Senior QB Brad Iciek won GLIAC Offensive Back of the year. His TD-INT ratio is insane GVSU currently leads 10-7, and is knocking on the door Game is on ESPN right now EDIT: 17-7 GVSU

Okso going to WMU, im fairly close to gvsu. Thecampus is not that nice (for those of you saying it is). It is literally in the middle of a farm field, nothing around, bland, boring, ugly. And about the gvsu rb story, he got caught drinking, the cops asked him and his friends to line up for a breath test he booked it out of there. They found him lying down in a swamp marsh area behind the apartments he was drinking in. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but alas is still a tool.

GVSU has a very nice campus. Sure, Allendale is a nothing town, but the campus, you know, where the college is actually located, is very nice. Sure, some of the older buildings are kind of funny-looking, but you have that at any college. I guarantee you know almost nothing about the college itself and probably haven't spent more than 5 seconds on the campus. Also, I'm really surprised to see someone from Western ripping on any other school's campus/city.

Ha I never said that Kalamazoo was a prime spot to put a university, but you can't beat one of the top schools for aviation. I have been on the campus before, and you're right it's definetley me being ignorant, but I rather disliked it, it is very bland.

I went to Grand Valley so I am definitely biased, but I guess I don't understand how the campus is "very bland." It seems just as fine a campus as any other. GVSU is putting forth a huge effort to expand and improve the area and I think they are doing a great job.
