OT - Tiger Woods and The Big Lebowski
Been reading the various Tiger threads and it suddenly dawned on me. This is what happened: Elin got pissed, grabbed a golf club, went to Tiger's car and smashed in the windows while shouting "This is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass."
Life does imitate art!

Have you no decency? I will never be the same again.

who cares what happened with tiger? There was an article in the local paper today titled 'The public deserves to know more' regading the Tiger situation. No, we don't deserve to know more. This will be a non-story by the end of the week.

If it was a regular guy, his personal business would get put out there just the same, the only difference is that no one would give a shit because he's not a celebrity. So why should Woods get to avoid all of that bullshit? Cause he's rich? Famous? You're favorite golfer?

..this happens to "regular guys" all the time and it never gets any coverage anywhere, unless the guy dies, the details are really funny, and he gets a Darwin award. Other than that, "regular guys" are given the luxury of privacy.
Tiger didn't involve anyone else, didn't hurt anyone, and his personal business is his own business: not yours, mine, or anyone else's.
As for any tinfoil hat allegations of a "coverup," it doesn't matter. Tiger has given the police exactly what he is required to by law: license, registration, and proof of insurance. Since it was obvious that a media shitstorm was coming, he "lawyered up." If anything, the people in charge of the investigation want to publicize this and get their "fifteen minutes of fame" for tearing down an icon; there is no way anyone in the department would cover it up.
I'm not an attorney, but I'm sure there are a few here. And I am pretty sure that any competent attorney would tell Tiger to say absolutely nothing to the police or the public about the incident. At this point, anything he says could have a negative effect on the investigation and result in charges somewhere.

he won't talk police or media. Something seems fishy here. I hear th police now have a warrant out about the incident to get his med. records to confirm if the injuries are consistent with a car accident or domestic dispute.

It does sound like him and his wife had some type of dispute. OK, couples have arguments. We can't leave it at that? There was not any alcohol/drugs involved. But again, he doesn't need to talk to the police. He doesn't have to speak to anyone about it.

We don't "deserve" to know about the affair, but if there was a physical attack, then a crime was committed and yes, we deserve to know more.
Frankly, I don't care who Tiger Woods sleeps with. But this ought to be the very end of the pass that he gets...for everything.
