They actually got a chance to play in the game - it is a new recruiting technique

You mean to tell me Rodriguez burned the redshirts of kids who may not even play here?????

You probably won't see any reactions until Monday or later I am guessing. There was a very large and impressive list of visitors who made it in. The only person I didn't see mentioned we were expecting was Rashad Knight. I am sure between TomVH and Tim we will get some good updates in the next few days. Here is a list fo everyone who was in:

Tony Grimes, CB - Hollywood (Fla.) Hills
Tony Jefferson, LB - Chula Vista (Calif.) Eastlake
Clarence Murphy, DE - Hollywood (Fla.) Hills
Marvin Robinson, LB/S - Eagle Lake (Fla.) Lake Region **commit**
Kenny Shaw, WR - Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips
Kenny Stills, WR - Carlsbad (Calif.) La Costa Canyon
Adrian Witty, CB - Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Class of 2010
Arryn Chenault, DB - Fairfield, Ohio
Nate Coleman, DT - Livonia (Mich.) Franklin
Nick DeMiro, OL - Rochester (Mich.) Adams
Tyon Dixon, LB - Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain

Thanks, really helpful. Looking forward to hearing how we did. Cullen decides on Tuesday, and here's hoping we can pick off Jefferson and a couple other defensive guys.

I gotta think that Baxter and Stills just visited because they wanted a free weekend with the guys, but that would mean that SOMEONE inside their group (Jefferson, Stills, Baxter) were interested enough in Michigan to suggest the trip here. My guess (and hope) is Jefferson.

but there were a lot of other big games this weekend they could have gone to. I'm happy to have any top players come and watch the game from our sidelines.

I thought Vinopal was an '09?

If Vinopal was an '09 recruit, he would have just finished his freshman season in college.

A couple other names I think had been mentioned as coming but don't think they made it up were Richard Ash and Christian Jones. I am just basing it on what I could research on Rivals though so don't hold me to it. I'm right there with you though - fingers crossed for Christian on Tuesday and that a few of our other visitors saw enough to entice them a bit. If we could flip Jefferson it would be amazing because I think the class can realistically maybe get Christian, Grimes, Beachum, and Murphy. And for some reason I have a feeling Ricardo worked very hard on Kenny Shaw this weekend. If by chance Shaw wants to commit I'd say Williamson is the odd man out of the WR equation.

Thank you for the updated list!

But I didn't include any except for the upcoming class. Kids that are juniors have such a long way to go in the process that who knows what happens with them. If interested in knowing the rest just let me know and I can list it.

Is there going to a thread like this everyday until some news breaks? People, you don't have to make a thread for anything that pops in your mind. Surely if there was recruiting news, it would be on here.

There is already a thread up by TomVH (like 3 above this) that says all breaking recruiting news will go there...to avoid threads like this one.

To paraphrase a good friend of mine, you don't have to post a reply for anything that pops in your mind.
