OT - Most of Detroit Lions 2015 Home \ Away Schedule Released
The majority of the Lions 2015 schedule was released. There are two games to be determined based on 2014 outcomes. The schedule looks brutal based on 2013 results. The Lions finally get a home game against Arizona.
2015 home opponents: Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals.
2015 away opponents: Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams.
now that's what I call looking ahead
Yes there are still some people in the raider nation, we do exist.
since visiting Ford Field. Every other NFL team has been in Detroit since.
---------------------------------------
Looking back at 2-November-2003, it was a rather memorable game (sarcasm):
Joey Harrington out-dueled the combination of Rick Mirer (!!!) and Marques Tuiasosopo as Detroit won 23-13.
Mirer and Tuiasosopo combined for 190 yards on 39 passes, with 0 TDs and 3 Interceptions.
Olandis Gary and Cory Schlesinger had the 2 Detroit touchdowns.
The Lions' victory moved them to 2-6 on the season, and was only their 2nd win in their last 16 games.
Peyton's gotta be slowing down by that time, so hopefully that Denver game is easier than it looks today. Not excited to be playing the Rams, they look like they're going to be brutal to play in the future.
That's a brutal schedule even if we didnt suck. 6-10
Well, a broken clock is right twice a day.
unless it is unplugged. the Lions are unplugged
By many metrics, the Lions schedule for this year is somewhat middling if you base it on their performance on 2013, so while it is rather difficult to project with much accuracy what they would do in 2015 right now, if you had to use the most current data, I would think that 2015 is in the upper half of difficulty on the NFL spectrum. That doesn't look terribly easy based on 2013 data.
Denver or San Francisco be the Turkey Day Game depending on what Network shows it.
I think it flips between CBS and Fox each year with Fox in the odd years and CBS in the even years.
There's so much parity in the NFL that I don't think anyone can look at a 2015 schedule and make any sort of sound analysis.
Lions 21, Packers 17 (December 15, 1991) – The Lions staved off a last minute comeback attempt by the Packers offense led by quarterback Mike Tomczak to wrap up a four-point victory over the Packers at Lambeau Field. The game remains the last time the Lions defeated the Packers in the state of Wisconsin, as the Packers currently hold a 23-game home winning streak in the series.
Packers home winning streak (1992-present) – The Lions have not beaten the Packers in a road game since 1991. With the Packers' 22-9 home win over the Lions on October 6, 2013, the Packers have defeated the Lions in the state of Wisconsin 23 times in a row, including a Wild Card Playoff game on December 31, 1994. The last Lions victory in Wisconsin was a 21-17 win on December 15, 1991.
Division foe rotation just happened to end up that way. With 4 AFC divisions and 3 other NFC divisions, it happens every 12 years.
beaten by the mathzzzzzz
So excited to see the Lions in Seattle! Hopefully Avril is extra nice.
Based on current projections that is pretty brutal but a lot can change in 14 months. The NFC west has become a power division - and yes it is funny how we play Arizona annually as if it is a protected rivalry. They are now very good on defense and St Louis in 12 months might be too.
