Let's go!!!! I am flying to Minnesota tonight for the games this weekend and it would be quite a downer if Michigan does not play tomorrow (and hopefully Saturday).
Oh, it's hockey. When I read the title I thought we were in the CBI.
Let's Go Blue!

WCBN Sports made the trip up to St. Paul to broadcast this one, listen here.
Probably blasphemy to say this, but this game is the more important of the two the Wolverines are playing today. Basketball is a 2-seed and is expected to win handily. Hockey needs this win and all bets are off based on their inconsistent play all season, and especially against Penn State. Go Blue.

I understand the importance of this game to the hockey team, but c'mon, b-ball is at the Big Dance and is a revenue sport.
and I should not be this nervous about playing Penn State. Brian was right, this is basically NCAA tournament hockey. A must win game at a neutral site in front of 30 people
Ugh. Lowlights of our losses to PSU. :P
I think there are close to 30 people there
The arena has exactly 37 fans in it. Must be college hockey playoff time.

I heard exactly no cheering for Penn State during intros and like 10-20 people cheering for Michigan
C'mon, get the puck deep! Fuckin' turnovers!
Not really many scoring chances for either team, but Michigan has no zone time. Everything they're doing is transition.
looking a little shaky so far
Either there's a zombie apocalypse in Minneapolis or the Big Ten picked a stupid playoff format.

LOL
WHY HAVENT WE SCORED YET??
Whoa C YA!
Michigan heading to the power play.
No joy. Just one shot.
Man, that powerplay was bad. PSU is controlling play so far.
In a must win game, how do you come out flat?
ARGH! Moffatt in front, missed the net!
Looks like a classic case of nervous bubble team playing tight vs. eliminated happy-go-lucky team with nothing to lose
And we're on the PK.
Flat is an understatement. This is embarrassing
FLAT! Wake up, team that just kicked Minnesota in the grill.
oh boy
Good penalty, would be 1-0 if he didn't tackle the PSU player
Yay, PK!
in the first
Whoa C YA!
We can haz PPG?
Need a big pp here
rest of period Michigan will be on the PP
PUT PUCK IN NET
Someone needs to have an aneurysm of leadership.
sloppy play
0-0 end of 1
U-M 11 shots, them 13 (we caught up a bit, was 5-10 at one point).
7 faceoffs to 16 for them. Ugh.
We're playing at about the same energy level as is in the building. This is a problem.
Also, this amply demonstrates why Brian was 100% right about the site/format of this tournament.
Not much urgency from Michigan. Passing is sloppy and we don't seem to be winning faceoffs. Penn State seems to be pressing in our zone and we are on our heels.
Hopefully the block M from last Saturday will come out after intermission. We really need this one.
I think there are fewer people in the stands than there were at the Palace last year for Akron VCU
I think there are more people in the stands at your average little league game.
They've got to switch the format so that these Thursday games are replaced with a best of three at the home ice of the higher seed. That is unless Wisconsin is the higher seed and they can go on the road because they don't want to commit their rink for this. This neutral ice stuff sucks.
Yes? The friggin' Gongshow managed it for a couple decades.
