Brian Cook, fix your mic!
Brian, I love ya, but please fix your mic. The podcasts have become unlistenable for me because there is constant mic noise in the background, like someone is perpetually adjusting it. This has been an issue (at least to me) for several years, but it keeps getting worse. It distracts from the content and makes me crazy. I would compare it to someone smacking gum throughout the podcast.
I’ve heard Brian say before that he has a condition where annoying, repetitive noises annoy him. I have the same affliction. So I am surprised this has continued for so long. That said, it’s getting worse. Given his condition I can’t imagine that Brian listens to the podcasts — he probably wouldn’t make it past the first section.

I thought it was a phone but couldn't 100% tell. Sounds like someone is just rapid fire typing on a phone with their volume all the way up.

People have the weirdest tics. I've noticed it but it hasn't bothered me at all. The fact that it's unlistenable to some people because a little background sound is just interesting. I won't lie that my initial thought is to tell the person to stop complaining.

Our mics are way more than $50. I can fix it with a little silicone; sucks that it happened on this podcast when we did 3 in a row.

It has been bad for years.
And I’m sure mics cost more than $50; but I’m not buying the whole thing for you.
I’ve never heard another show with audio consistently this poor, so it should be something you would want to fix. Looks like many people here agree that it is unpleasant.

This shit still pisses me off. I know you're joking but man, there are still assholes who are mad that Ace used the money I got him from selling a sponsorship to the Ace pod (not money that was donated to him) to buy podcasting equipment to produce the Ace pod. God forbid somebody use the proceeds from a business to buy materials necessary for doing business.

I am listening to it now, on the too many tooks there is some background noise that sounds like someone is using the keyboard on their phone and it is driving me nuts.
Like popping bubbles or keyboard clicks.
