SIAP More on Smith twins' possible decommit
Big thread the other day about Jacob and Jerod Smith maybe flipping to Kentucky. The coach of their new High School team seems to disagree. Tweet below says "no flip". We shall see..

My thoughts too. This would suggest the balls are ruining their announcement ceremony. Who knows anymore

It doesn't really matter at this point; guys will come and go as the winds of fortune around teams blow. If UM has another strong year they'll pick up guys they need and want, and likely also delve into the transfer portal where appropriate.
It's college football recruiting, premised almost exclusively on the whims of teenagers. Stuff happens, and I'd frankly rather enjoy the upcoming season than worry too much about how future ones may or may not look because teenagers changed their minds.

Wingdings changed his prediction to Kentucky, so I'm sticking with that. That he did so means that family did enough to convince him. So time to move on. Maybe they're trying to extract more money from K.

Sam just flipped his ballz prediction for both of them to Kentucky. So, game over.

The only game over is kentucky's likely 4-8 record this year. They're predicted on CBS, the SEC pride and joy, as finishing outside the top 11.. in the conference. MGM says the line is 6+. They last won their conference in 1976.
Good luck paying for that on your 0 dollar salary a year BABE.

I have a funny feeling this year will pay dividends more than recent years on the recruiting trail during the season. This class is already really good and it may surprise some people when the cycle is over.

I don't have a link to this - but, in the past year there was a "restated" article about Signing Classes. The article re-ranked classes from different teams and Michigan's class "moved up" quite a bit. The reason which I, and I assume most of us fans believe is - development.
This isn't a surprise - and, I sincerely look forward to seeing more of the same development in the years to come.

Development and our staff knows potential talent better than most.

I know what article you’re referring to. It’s safe to say that Harbaugh’s evaluations are great, I think they’ve missed on a lot of the staffs top priorities thus far and that may change during the season.

A lot of the guys we are missing on are going other place’s because of the money being offered. I wouldn’t expect to flip any of those guys unless our philosophy on paying recruits up-front (once they sign) changes.

I trust that the players meant to play here will end up here and those who are better served elsewhere won’t. If these kids would rather be at UK, good on them.

Well, if they're really gonna choose Kentucky over Michigan then good luck. That one unhinged UK coach who hates us will be happy.

We can live well in the portal era. Freshman are hit and miss, upper class athletes are pretty much proven or disproven by this point.

Throughly enjoying the brisk weather here in Bolivia, for the last two weeks now!
Highs of 67°, lows of 31°, and only 34% humidity to boot!
Who could ask for more!? LoL

That’s a check in the positive column. I hope that opinion sticks. We don’t need any more hits to the class.
