Blake Corum is my temporary neighbor
First post ever, so pardon any transgressions. Random story.
We are doing a reno on our house and so we had to move out for about two months. Doing a month to month at an apartment complex. Anyways, I am moving stuff in and I turn my head and I see Blake Corum walking toward me. Turns out he is my neighbor, so I have been seeing him a few times per week, talked to him briefly he was incredibly nice. I try not stare and bother him too much, but it’s always interesting seeing him do day to day stuff like walk his dogs or bring back chipotle.
Cool. But weird.

I forever will be able to claim that I too was born in Warrenton VA, just like Blake, and spent my childhood in Faquier County where he lived. We were born in the same hospital (likely) and I don’t feel weird at all being proud of it!!!!!
…..even though I would totally judge someone else my age for feeling so proud of it. Lulz.
Several years after I graduated. I moved back to Ann Arbor for a job. About three months later I see someone moving in next door to me.
It was Desmond Howard. Good neighbor. Kept to himself. He Had a BEAUTIFUL girlfriend.
Next time you see him, ask him if he is a beans or no beans in his Chipotle kind of guy. Alot of kids these days are no beans, which I just don't understand. I'll bet you a dollar he gets double meat though.
I don’t think it’s weird, OP. You want to share your excitement on a UM board about living next to a UM star. Fail to see the creepiness.
In my experience, if you treat college stars normal they tend to really like you. I rented JT Barrett an apt down here and quite a few other starters. When they realize I didn’t care about them (for obvious reasons), they would come in to drop off rent and talk to me for over 10 minutes about random things. Of course, most convos turned into football when my boss outed me as a UM fan. I’d just strike up some easy conversations. Decent human beings won’t find you weird if you’re a nice outgoing person.
Cool story, OP. Maybe it would be nice to leave people alone and not broadcast a nothing across the internet.
