The Heisman odds have it at a 2 man race now, CJ Stroud and Hendon Hooker. Blake Corum at 4th in the odds. It's a distant 4th though. Still time for him to move up. Maybe he can have a 200 yd, 5 TD day against State to move him up some. :-)

And finally, Jimbo Fisher in some very hot water. Fans, and maybe the suits in the Texas A&M world, want him out. But apparently, there was no buyout on his contract. The pitchforks and torches are out at College Station, Texas!

I mean aTm could not have really expected anything different, deep deep down they had to know there is no other outcome for their program.

Corum has one shot to win the Heisman.  Assuming Tenn loses and hooker has a bad game, for one, and two, in the Game, we win and Stroud is ordinary and Corum goes off.  It can flip the narrative.  Otherwise, to overcome the tendency to give it to a QB, will be hard to overcome.

That was my thought as well... But I guess it makes sense. It sounds like there is "no buyout" number in the contract, so if they fire him they owe him the balance of his salary. No buyout kind of implies they would owe him nothing, but it's kind of the opposite, and totally crazy!

I haven't followed Kansas State all that closely but I don't think it would be a surprise if a player like Martinez plays better after escaping his original team. He showed promise as a freshman at Nebraska and just never seemed to get all that much better; I think we can lay the blame for a good chunk of that on Scott Frost.

Anyone remember the seinfeld episode where george's boss thought he was handicapped and he just rolled with it because he got a bunch of perks but then when the boss found out they couldn't do anything because he was in a locked in two year contract.

The proceed to make his life miserable to get him to leave on his own. Kind of feels like what is going at at A&M. Maybe they should board up his private bathroom and see if that does it or all the employees say "go to hell" when he walks by lol.

Is that Jimbo contract really the most ridiculous in the history of college football?   At least he has won a national championship and had a track record of success before signing said contract.  So somewhat justified at the time of signing.

I know of a different coach that had zero track record of success and signed a similar contract.  I think that one is WAAAAAAAY worse.
