Plans for the weekend are family reunion on Lake Erie. Lots of drinking and random stupidity, staying up till 3 am playing card games, a round or two of golf, watching a lot of football, playing mexican train, backgammon, lots of music and just enjoying each other's company. My son won't be there for the first time in forever because he's off to grad school in SLC.

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!!

For real though, I've been watching football games since last weekend. I was even watching the Fresno State / Cal Tech game late last night LOL. Oh, and did anyone catch the Purdue / Penn State game last night? What a great game! The West Virginia / Pitt game was fantastic too.

Plans for the weekend? Finish staining the deck, water balloon fight with the kid, and Wolverines Football baby!!

Let's Go Blue!!!!!

It's a slow day and I'm working from home, so... consuming all the CFB content I can find with the exception of a few client calls.

Then leaving the 2-year-old with the inlaws so the wife and I can have a date where we actually eat inside (we all got Covid a week ago), and getting ready for tomorrow's game. I'll do a pushup for every U-M passing yard and a squat for every rushing yard... hoping to be sore until Tuesday!

Let's go!  First season with the MGo baby.  She is two months old and I can already tell she is going to be a huge fan!  I'm sure she will learn to love Saturdays as much as I do!

I heard there might be an interesting game on Saturday. Maybe I'll look it up. Otherwise, getting a haircut and, oh yeah, celebrating my 30th anniversary on Monday.

Bang me, but please don't tell my wife.

Plans? Have a nice meal tonight. Perhaps tune in to watch if the Broncos are surprising the Sparties.

Tomorrow. Watch the good guys crush their first opponent in a tune up game. Then Ducks v Dogs. Then watch ND "upset" duh team from duh state of Ohio. Then, maybe, watch whatever else I recorded all while having more nice but light meals.

Sunday? Sit in sunroom, take personal inventory (mental and physical) to ponder doing the loop while I still can (7 knots for 5500 miles? really?) versus suing an industrial monopoly and settling out of court for a ridiculously large sum to make me shut up and go away. Ponder same while washing and drying a car or two --- some of my best thinking gets done while cleaning a good looking, fast machine. Maybe take one of them out for a blast.

Monday? "Help" a crew dig a ditch to run power and Ethernet to a new location on the property.

Go Blue!

Edit: My apologies where due - I need to be more specific in some of my references. :-(

The loop? See the good doctor of jaws. Basically, diesel cruising the inland waterways (for me) from Bhastan to Chicago (via Canada, possibly) then down to the Gulf, over to Florida, then up the inland East Coast waterways back to Bahstan. Takes about a year to do. It's an extended and very mellow boat ride. Requires the patience of Job (which patience, uh, is not my strength).

Lol, you see the dilemma, clearly.

Basically a '''live aboard' that floats, sleeps two, stores and cooks foods, has a moderate draft to enable passage in the shallower canals and waterways, and, most importantly, an airdraft under 15.5 feet to be able to pass under the lowest bridge on the Erie Canal or, at most 19 feet to transit passage in the Chicago choke point. Therefore, no towered fishboats. Also need expanded fresh water and mandatory fuel tankage to go approx 210 miles (longest hop) on the Tennessee-Tombigbee (diesel) or 450 miles (gasoline).

33 to 45 footer seems right. Optimally? Single diesel with "wing" motor, or twin diesels that sip fuel at 7 to 9 knots. Rare to need to even get on plane. Ocean going hull is way overkill as it's 95 percent inland or inshore. Trawler fine, express cruiser fine, but no masted rag boats, no cats due to narrow canals.

Kind of like taking a nice, floating RV for a leisurely, year long tour of the eastern states.

Embarrassed to be this late to the BANG, but it'll be a morning run, an 11:30a Bloody Mary masterpiece, then settle in for the MOST wonderful time of the year.  GO BLUE!!!

Chuck, this is one time I can completely agree with you.

However, the matchup you refer to - might have provided a conundrum to Sun-Tzu.  “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”  I don’t recall his theory about two enemies facing each other.

As you know - there’s a rather visible intercollegiate football contest in Columbus tomorrow.

My hope for it is a 7 OT affair, with a final score of 2-0.

Enjoy..

Go Blue!!!

Going to work in the morning before the game. Our company moved and I gotta make sense of my office before Tuesday.

Yesterday, my wife had a five hour surgery, hopefully she will be cleared of all cancer. Big Bang for her!

Today, work on my day off, and spent it helping out in the warehouse. Meant to get my office set, now that's tomorrow. Emails, ugh. 7 new requests for quote...etc

Come Noon tomorrow, please may there be no interruptions.

I was gone camping for two days!, perhaps 54 hours to be accurate, and now it's going to take all evening to catch up on my pregame reading! I need a bang to get me through!
