Leaders And Best

Considering Brady and Gisele are worth close to a billion dollars combined, Michigan would need more than a money truck to get him to come back to Ann Arbor.

He has settled in Florida with his family (the money he saves on state taxes in Florida are probably more than that Michigan money truck too). I doubt you see him move from there in the near future. Maybe he does some part-time media gigs or podcasting, but my guess he is going to lay low for several years with his family until he gets bored.

Kinda like Nolan Ryan….leave while you’ve still got it, and leaving everyone with the idea that you could come back in 10+ years and still kick everyone’s ass.

Enjoy your well deserved retirement!!

So how long before he gets into coaching?   Can he handle life without football for a year?  Two years?    Seems like he won't need money, so what will fuel his passions in the future?   I am not sure if he has ever commented on it, but seems like he would be one hell of a coach if he ever wanted to.

As a selfish Bucs fan, this sucks.  He was the reason Sunday became must watch for me again as my NFL fandom wasn't that strong prior to him joining the Bucs.  I really thought he was going to play another year, if not two.

Good timing.  He’s still elite but Bucs roster isn’t set for a SB run next year.  And every player is one play from a major injury.

Smart to hang it up while he’s healthy and hasn’t declined yet.

I think he should have announced a final year and had his farewell tour across the country at every game he played.  I'd try to see one.

How is there any equivocation or qualifying when saying that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time? Don't you start with the number os Super Bowls won? You could end the discussion right there, but go ahead and tick off the rest of his accomplishments. Who else is even close?

You are wrong.

There absolutely can be equivocation and qualifying when saying that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time.

He is the greatest player of all time.

What he did at Tampa Bay is just stunning.  He took essentially the same team that could not even make the playoffs the previous year, plus a couple of players that joined up only because Brady personally brought them in, and won the freaking Super Bowl.

Just his mere presence made a bunch of losers into a Super Bowl team.

That is the very definition of the GOAT.  His impact on the game transcended just throwing the ball around.

After his last Super Bowl win, I selfishly wanted Brady to retire then.

Just go out on top and walk away with all the accolades.

I kept wondering, does he think he can win one more?

Then, this season - somewhat less ceremonial, Brady gets the all-time passing yards career mark over Brees.   Then, I realized - Brady wanted one more goal.

It has been said about many awesome athletes, but we will never see another Tom Brady.

GOAT.

Go Blue.

PS - Brady - please help Michigan football in any ways possible.

I guess that means he's available to help coach quarterbacks, coordinate recruiting, and/or compete under the new NIL rules. Not saying he will, but he is available, and a guy can dream.

“Tom, great run, but I think Drew Henson will have a longer pro career….,”

Just kidding, Tom proved everyone wrong his entire life.   I hope he’s still going to prove us wrong that he’s hanging up the cleats.
