What is the hold up on rescheduling games?

I don't understand why we haven't gotten word on making up any of the five games that Men's basketball missed. I understand that it may be difficult to make the logistics work and that they may not be able to make any of them up, but you'd think by now they'd have figured it out. Either they can't make any of them up, or they know which games are possible to reschedule. Why is this still so up in the air?

The Illinois game will definitely be rescheduled. I would think the MSU game would be as well. Tell the Big Ten to go suck a fat one on the other games. Warde needs to grow a pair.

I'm looking at the timing of the announcements for Nebraska's rescheduled games. See below for the date of announcement/date of game:

Feb 8: games to be played 2/10 (rescheduled from 2/11) and 2/12

Feb 11: games played 2/16 and 2/17

Feb 17: game played on 2/23

So, the precedent is that they will wait until less than a week ahead of time to announce the new schedules. If the Illinois game is to be made up next Thursday 2/25, then I would expect the announcement to be today or tomorrow, in line with what Brendan Quinn tweeted.

To the OP question of why it's still up in the air: we have no idea what contingency plans are being made, and what has been decided but unannounced. There is really no reason to put re-scheduled games out there more than a week in advance. It's not like fans are traveling to attend or anything. You might as well wait as long as possible to be as certain as can be that the games will actually be played as rescheduled. Be a little patient.

I do not see how the Illinois game is scheduled on the 25th. Looking at the ESPN Schedule they have games on 2/23 (@MSU) and 2/24 (Neb). Now, I could see the switch out Neb and come to A2 on 2/24 or 2/25....

Other games - NW and UM both have games 2/21 and 2/27 so seems easy to put NW on 2/24.

Then maybe a B2B with IU (2/27 and 2/28) and a B2B with MSU (3/7 scheduled and add either Sat or Mon.

From a B1G perspective, why not just add the Illinois game as a swap out for their 2/24 Neb, and play out the schedule? UM gets in 16 of 20 and plays each team 1x.

IU has a break from our game on 2/27 until 3/6 so a B2B with them seems possible.

Your mistake is trusting the ESPN schedule. It's been separately announced that the Nebraska @ Illinois would be rescheduled for the last week of the season. You can actually see it on 3/2 on ESPN's schedule for Illinois. For some reason, the 2/24 game has not been removed.

So, as long as Illinois is willing to play Tues/Thurs/Saturday, 2/25 is the logical day to make up that game. It would require them to go @ MSU @ U-M @ U-W, so I'm not sure it makes a ton of sense for them, that would be really tough on the Illini players. It's not their fault that both MSU and Michigan had pauses that required games to be pushed back.

I think if Michigan wins (tonight&) this weekend against O$U they will only reschedule Illinois. If Michigan loses, and the race for the conference is more up in the air, they will try to reschedule more games to give teams a similar amount of games played.
