Higdon signs with Texans

Title says it all via twitter says “injuries scared teams off from drafting me.”

i think this is a great spot for him, the Texans could use a running back.

If we beat Florida no one would give a fuck. It's pretty crazy that everyone is turning on him. It does Michigan no good to root against him. And him going undrafted doesn't prove anyone right for being mad at him for sitting out. The 2 events are not remotely connected.

Don't they already have an established starter in Lamar Miller? Plus, they used a 3rd rounder last year to draft D'Onta Foreman. It might be a pretty crowded room with those two leading the way ahead of Higdon.

That is all they really have on their roster and this is the last year of Miller's contract at nearly 8 million a year.  On top of that neither Miller or Foreman (achilles ) are know as solid 1 cut between the tackle runners,  Higdon does that better than either of them right out of college.  Also a better runner in the zone scheme with the one cut and go mindset.

Bowl game performance is more about how Harbaugh can’t get this team ready for big games. I would be very surprised if Michigan won another bowl game under Harbaugh. They are just lucky they played a disinterested Florida team with a bunch of players who were suspended after Harbaugh’s first season.

Are you really a Michigan fan?  Come clean dude.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen you post something positive about Michigan nor Harbaugh.  You really hate him don’t you?

Obviously you’re entitled to your opinion just as I’m entitled to mine that you’re perhaps the most insufferable moron on this entire board — and that’s saying a lot.

I cannot think of a more pathetic intentional existence than yours — always coming here to comment negatively while pretending to be a fan.  It would be comical were it not such a sad pathology.

Negative fan Karan Higdon flowchart:

1. Doesn’t play in bowl game: “selfish, quit on teammates, glad he didn’t get drafted”

2. Plays in bowl game, gets hurt: “can’t believe he risked his health and chance to provide for his daughter in a meaningless bowl game” OR “what a man! Gave his all for the team! Who cares that it’s unlikely he’ll ever touch the field, I can remember his sacrifice for the team I’ve done nothing for”

3. Plays in bowl game doesn’t get hurt, still doesn’t get drafted: “Jaybaugh sux”

4. Plays in bowl game, gets drafted in 6th round: “Karan who? Let’s go Charbonnet!!!”

I’m glad he got picked up by someone and hopefully he sticks.  It’s interesting though the effect of not playing the bowl game has on his legacy for some.  I’m not saying it’s right or wrong and I’m not saying that it cost him a draft spot, because I don’t know whether it did.  But had Karan played in the bowl game and ended up in the exact same place, he would be thought of highly by the whole fan base.

I’d be interested in the breakdown in ages between the “he should’ve played in the bowl game” camp vs. the “he needed to lookout for himself” group. My guess is that the think only of yourself group skews younger than those who value duty to others more highly.

Is he saying that some minor injury would have scared off the Patriots from drafting Damien Harris in let's say the 6th round?

Pretty weak argument. I have come to the conclusion that basically in these sports there should be an associated league that has some relationship to the university and these kids can either attend school or just play the sport full time. Leave whenever they want. Get paid whatever they want. Basically no rules outside of the contest on the field. The University can charge for the contest and get their own television contract.

Everybody wins. No pretense. Sort of the G league concept. Kids could get called up at anytime to a professional sports team.

It would basically be the Wolverines Club of the University of Michigan.

Harris was actually rated higher than Karan...so he also fell. Someone say due to the number of carries and the overall wear.

So that's actually more aligned with Karan's statement. Regardless, he's on a team. Be happy for the guy...I GUARANTEE you were when he was sprinting down the sideline breaking off huge runs over Penn St. or grinding his way down the field at Sparty.

Michigan got what we gave Michigan...would all of you bitching preferred that Michigan got nothing this season? I'm not confident Michigan wins as many games without Karan. He carried the LOAD last season and there was no countermove (as we all witnessed) - so it's not like we were going to go air raid.

I'm really impressed with the ability some Michigan fans have for being able to walk around with a pickle still lodged up their asses a full 5 months after a decision was made by a football player. Holding that spicy cucumber up there is no easy task—especially when you sneeze or cough—but some of you are more than equal to the task.

Cheated.  Karan is at least a 5th round draft choice.  Senior year - 1100 yards, captain, All-B1G selection.  The NFL sucks.
