Rest of season predictions

I'm thinking about heading up to the cabin and holing myself away from the rest of the world during OSU weekend.

The people that are counting Iowa as a win clearly don't remember how well we play on the road, let alone on the road against Iowa. Only team to win there recently was the '05 team and that was in OT.

Nebraska - toss-up, leaning loss
@Northwestern - toss-up, leaning loss
@Iowa - loss
Ohio State - loss

8-4 as an optimist

as well. Unless Devin is really hurt. Then it could be 0-4 the rest of the way.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:33 PM ^
We'll beat Neb and NW, probably lose to Iowa and OSU.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:37 PM ^
Irrelevant. Predictions won't make any difference because no one every knows which offense will show up.
Right now this team is as scary as: 3rd Down and 13 with a schizophrenic OC in which 80% of the time he'll run tackle over and 20% of the time try to air it out using max protection with only 1 WR.

Shit, booze, hangovers and apologies to whomever watches the game with me because my girlfriend tells me I need to apologize.

November 2nd, 2013 at 7:36 PM ^
Probably 2-2 or 3-1. I know it's STAEE but they are the #1 defense and we were on the road. It's probably not as bad as seems right now
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:53 PM ^
Iowa and N'Western are road games. And we suck on the road (6-10 under Hoke). Given how we generally play against both of those teams, I'd count those as losses.

November 2nd, 2013 at 7:37 PM ^
Michigan will still:
- Have the best football helmet design
- Play in the biggest stadium
- Sing one of the best fight songs
- Be one of the top universities in the world
- Be located in one of the best college towns
- Be Michigan
I'm cool with that.

But what does "Be Michigan" mean? We only are Michigan if we do Michigan. If we keep getting owned like this then "Being Michigan" will be a joke to everyone else. We had better suck it up right now. Hopefully we will.

on how bad DG ego and body have been bruised. The entire team was punished badly today. They were out manned to the point I believe their will has been broken.
They now know they cannot win the Big Ten Championship. If they split the remaining four games considering their coaching handicaps that would be a considerable achievement. BTW, if DG cannot play or is playing hurt they will lose all four.
We need a big time coach and soon.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:40 PM ^
There are not many coaches I would want instead. And I think very few, or none would leave their current jobs (in the NFL or NCAA).
Be careful what you wish for.

So, the prediction here would be a lean win, two games that could likely go either way, and a likely loss.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:38 PM ^
LOL....suck would be my prediction. A lot of well's will be said as well.
This team and program is a joke right now. 0 for November is certainly possible. We wont win on the road and OSU is going to smash us. So that leaves Neb....and with our propensity to give up big plays and not block anyone, not sure why anyone see's a win in this team left on the schedule.
6-6 is more than possible, but everyone will blame youth again.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:56 PM ^
You do see the staff hauling in top recruiting classes don't you. You do realize those don't pay off until at least 3 years down the road.
Just because you say youth isn't the reason doesn't make it so. Anyone who watches college football knows that teams this young are going to struggle.

Staee anin't that greaa
Itr's just because our o line is absolute garbage. We will beat Nebraska because their defense sucks and we will beat NW. Iowa and Ohio are going to be losses unless FUNK is replaced nowon the bus ride home in which case we'll beat either Iowa or OSU but not both.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:48 PM ^
Fucking enough with the Staee, enough with the they're not that good, just fucking stop already!

I think you've seen most of this season with the exclamation point being put on this team today

M is horrible and unpredictable as noted by Akron, UCONN, PSU, and Staee

W vs whoever in bowl game

isn't beating the MAC #2 team in Detroit
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:40 PM ^
Iowa on road, & they're improving? = Probably loss.
Ohio state: just hoping to keep it close to marginally not too too embarrassing.
NU on road & Nebraska at home? Likely get one of those, but dropping both more likely than winning both.
About what I'd expected at start of season given too much inexperience (& "players left after the great purges of the post Carr era") scattered in bad places: lines, secondary. Notre dame win momentarily upped my estimate, but then we learned: nope. ND is pretty bad too. So a win or two more from here is about as expected or better for this team. Maybe 1 loss worse (the horror in happy valley)
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:41 PM ^
I'd be pleased with 2-2.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:47 PM ^
Sadly, you are right. I'm embarrased to admit our low standards, but 8-4 is starting to look like a fat chick at closing time.
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:41 PM ^
Aw crap...
November 2nd, 2013 at 7:41 PM ^
of beating Iowa, Northwestern, Nebraska.
More than capable of losing all 4. Anything more than 1 win would feel fortunate.

November 2nd, 2013 at 7:43 PM ^
1-3 for this inept staff. However, 0-4 wouldn't surprise me. Somebody will have to explain to me, how this staff is any different that what we saw under RR. Oh wait... I know... RR wasn't Brandon's hire.
