www.ohiostatesuckeyes.com
Ok. I have the url www.ohiostatesuckeyes.com but I have no idea what to do with it. I thought about trying to sell t-shirts or something, but not sure if that makes any sense. I mean, I would never wear something scarlet and gray and it does not seem to make much sense to me to make a maize and blue t-shirt that says ohio state suckeyes. So, any ideas how to use the url? Even if it is just a way to irritate my OSU friends, which I have several, I am open to ideas. Right now, the url is collecting dust.
P.S. I'm not trying to steal anyone's ideas or talents. If you have an idea and want to be involved, that is cool. Just let me know.
P.P.S. I am not interested in selling the url.

nice pull. Im not one to deal in negativity and try to make a profit on it....however... OSU fans are as good of a target in that light as any in sports eh? lol
If you have the time and effort, then create an original website that all college football fans can identify with and yes, create matching gear etc. to go with it...certainly if you do it well enough you could publicize it... gosh knows that there needs to be a counter for the dead schembechlers of the world.

Do you mean like a general website that sells "rivalry" gear? And it would not be limited to UM-OSU?

Actually, that's not a bad idea. The name should generate some level of interest on it's own, negative or no.

The reality is, you could probably do some good photoshops or something to that effect, but Suckeye fan is so dense that they usually can give you enough entertaining material with their everyday activities.

If you want to put time into it and potentially make money I guess I can't criticize, but I personally think it's kind of childish. Kind of like a site with O$U in it. Ok , maybe I am criticizing.

...put the website in your signature and solicit feedback on the website. That way, people will feel free to be honest with you without being afraid of saying something that doesn't belong on mgoblog.
Those who are interested will visit you. Those who aren't, won't.

I think sites like failblog.com and peopleofwalmart.com are hilarious. How about trashy 'suckeye' fan pictures? Be a nice way to generate hits to the website if you did want to sell gear.

Seconded. Trash sells, sad but true.

The one with the biggest potential would be a broad rivalry-gear site, not just OSU vs. UM. Potential is highter.
But this smaller idea is more likely to succeed (and if it does, then you could expand it later):
make it all anti-OSU. One-stop shopping for those who hate OSU.
Have readers submit short video clips/stills/photos/stories about dumbasses in the state of Ohio/etc, etc. You'd draw mostly UM fans, but also USC, PSU, and a few others.
Sell gear that mocks OSU (not simply with your website name), like the shirt I say the other day w/ a picture of Jesus w/ the qoute, "Jesus loves you... unless you're from East Lansing" That type of gear, maybe in maybe three colors (maize w/ blue, gold with marroon, white w/ navy).
Don't go for the traditional blog. Takes way too much time. Make it more user generated, fast/funny clips like: peopleofwalmart.com
it wouldn't be too hard, really.
G0 FOR IT.

Until you decide what to do with it have the url forward to mgoblog
