Calling all backgrounds!!
The first two games of the season I noticed backgrounds being submitted under Diary column. I haven’t seen once since. I love setting them on my computer at work in Cincinnati Ohio. It makes for some good talks when people come in and out of the office all day. Does anyone have the new Minnesota’s one for this week’s matchup?

I might be misremembering, and someone who knows please correct me if I am, but the MGoBlogger who typically produces those diaries had an addition to the family sometime around the CMU game, and I believe there was some indication given that the wallpapers might be less frequent for a time. Again, I might have that incorrect.

I'm pretty sure that's right. Not certain but I think I remember them saying that there would only be backgrounds for big games this season or as time permits, so I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see one until the OSU game.

I think people just used various kitten backgrounds for the past two games.

Lets put a pumpkin and some leaves in the background with a dead gopher belly up next to the LB Jug in the foreground....sounds good to me.

Jeez I got excited when I clicked on this thread thinking I would get to offer up some knowledge in the field of public administration, only to find out the OP meant a DIFFERENT kind of background.

Using the word "up" in your statement is pointless. Phrasal verbs are simply unnecessary words.

Saying "Phrasal verbs are simply unneccessary" would have conveyed your point. We all already know that verbs are words.
Thanks for making me waste a nanosecond of my time reading your unneccessarily bloated sentence, guy.

So are comments like these; please stop making them.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Show me any competent grammarian who agrees with this (hell, even show me an imcompetent one) and I'll eat my hat. Just as one example, there's quite a difference between blowing somebody and blowing up somebody (or blowing somebody up). I'm guessing most people regard the word up as quite important in this phrasal verb.
