Funny Wojo article about B1G tourney
I wish these articles would get national attention sometimes. Mainly how Indiana looooves to flop. Also wish he and Jaime would take over Valenti and Foster's spot. Wojo and Jaime are way less biased and much more intelligent human beings.
....and there's something eerily true about this:
"Best possible matchups: Indiana-Michigan in the semifinals or Indiana-Michigan State in the final. Or the way the season has gone, Penn State-Iowa in the final."
Is it too early to put an entire conference tournament on upset alert? After all, Nebraska is making a case for a spot in next year's NIT.
Minor quibble, but in the article he says:
"The Wolverines disappointed three other teams that could have grabbed a share of the title, and now arrive at the Big Ten barbecue with a sheepish look, not sure if they owe an apology or deserve a payback."
Which isn't true. Although The Wolverines finished 5th, Wisconsin never had a shot at the title even with a Michigan win. It was two other teams they may have disappointed (although it seems more like 1.5 teams since half the Sparty fan base wasn't even disappointed to lose out on a title if it meant Michigan did too).

Best quote: "Player most likely to crumple to ground when bumped: Indiana center Cody Zeller"

The United Center was sold out weeks ago, and conference officials just started selling standing-room-only tickets (flopping-room-only tickets for Indiana fans).

I think the "Bo Ryan Annoying Coach of the Year Award" should be handed out every year. Of course, as long as Crean is at Indiana I'm sure he will dominate.

Winner of the BTT gets an autobid right? Why the hell not one of Northwestern/Penn State/Iowa. Preferably not Penn State as it would mean we lost to them in the first round today, so, really, Northwestern or Iowa. Talk about crazy.

Why take the extra conference loss in the NCAA tourney? Makes the B1G look bad.

I firmly believe that Iowa could easily make the 32, and probably the 16. We forget what all of the Big Ten teams looked like before they started battling eachother this year. Everyone else looked... like not much.

Round of 32 maybe if they got a 10 seed or higher. Sweet 16 though?? What? Based on what evidence......?

did get bombed by VT early in the season though. I think all year they've been good, but not good enough for anyone to really take notice
