Mr. Yost

Sure he's having a bad week, but I don't think that means people can't laugh at the comment.

Poking fun at Smith for calling the school he's the HEAD COACH of by its rival isn't the same as the Sandusky t-shirts, let's be real.

Besides, the guy is just weird/deranged. The fact that he was call on to lead a football program is funny in itself. Look at all the missteps.

Someone's crazy grandfather? Sure. A Division 1 (SEC) Head Coach? No way.

He is an idiot that made millions by knowing the right people. What a joke. I am sorry that his mom, brother or whoever died last week. I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone, but the rest is karma. Sparty on!

ESPN did a minor write-up on this - LINK

The clip was actually sort of tough to watch in a way, as it provides a little more evidence, at least to me, that we are wtinessing what may be the college coaching equivalent of The Peter Principle in John L. Smith. Combined with his rather rough month, it's an amusing mistake, but I assume his mind is not 100% in football right now, which is not serving the Razorbacks well at all, of course.

Also, Smith piled this on afterwards:

"When asked if he thought he saw Petrino coaching at either Auburn or Kentucky in 2013, Smith said he thought Auburn "probably is a better guess if I were to guess."

I am sure Chizik or Phillips will be pleased to know that. I imagine that the only solace Razorback fans have is that this was an interim solution.

I had a conversation with a razorback fan the other day, where I pointed out that he was missing the bright side of the whole JLS debacle. He inquired what the bright side could be, and I replied "Well at least at this rate you won't have to worry about getting ready for a bowl game, so it frees up a lot of time to look for a new coach." He did not see the humor in the statement.
