Olympics day 10 (live/spoilers)
More track and field, quarterfinals for a lot of team sports, and more.
Also, is this why Ryan Lochte didn't do as well as expected? Seems he can't hold it in...

(Seriously, they probably all do it at some point or other, given how long they spend in the pool in training.)
USA men's basketball up 34-32 against Argentina after one. Looks to be a good game.
I think they got the message at halftime.
107-81 U.S. now.
Spain loses to Brazil in men's basketball, which theoretically is an upset. Spain was supposed to be our toughest competition for the gold medal. They now only finish third in their group, but in doing so, they get out of the U.S. side of the bracket. Did they tank?
I didn't see the game but looking at the box score, Spain led 66-57 after three quarters and then was outscored 31-16 in the fourth. That fourth quarter sounds a little sketchy.

Why is a guy born in NYC and raised in Southern California (Felix Sanchez) competing for the Dominican Republic?

Former Michigan's sprinter, Adam Harris, competed for Guyana despite the fact he is born and raised in Chicago.

I understand why he's eligible, but I don't understand the rationale of a world-class athlete not competing for the country that he's lived his entire life in, if he has the chance. I'm proud of my parents' heritage and all, but I couldn't imagine actually competing against my own country.
typically, it's much harder to make the Olympics to represent USA whereas it's much easier to compete for a different country.

Just watched Sam Mikulak compete and get fifth in the men's vault. Loved his sportsmanship, giving a hug to the S Korean guy (Dae han mingook, mahn sae!) who won. What a fantastic representative of the University of Michigan and of our country.
