NCAA Hockey Tournament Open Thread
It's too painful to watch after last night. Overtime hangovers suck and take a while to go away. What do you guys do to remedy the situation?
I'm too busy carving my eyes out with a broken spork, sorry. My sports hurts.
Not really.
Why does the NCAA care so much about their logo? If they want to wear it they should wear it.
Yep. Still feels like I'm being stabbed in the guts repeatedly.
I'm watching Hopkins-UVA lacrosse since hockey isn't on here. It's gonna be sweet when our lacrosse team is great and I can watch them on ESPNU too
Also, looks like Western lost. Looks like Ferris is carrying the conference banner now. Pretty sad that the 'best' conference this year had 4 of the 5 teams lose in the 1st round. Hopefully Ferris will at least make it to Tampa and maybe even take down the winner of UML/Union. (Sheesh our side of the bracket looks soft now)
It was soft to begin with IMO (which is why the loss is that much more painful. I felt we had a fairly easy road to the finals). And now the three most talented teams (Michigan, Miami, and Denver) have bowed out. Whoever comes from the other side of the bracket should easily be the favorite for winning it all.
just showed the UMD goal again. This is why I unplug myself from all college hockey things for several months after the fact.
Sad to say, but it looks like BC has too much for Air Force this afternoon. It's only 1-0, but Air Force hasn't done much at all.
Mark Wilkins just buttsexed Air Force on that call, BC scores on the ensuing PP.
2-0 and BC on another PP, last minute of game.
Minnesota up 3-2 on BC, and now on a major power play.
4-2. Minnesota scores less than 20 seconds onto the power play.
Minnesota wins 7-3.
Must be nice to have home ice in the playoffs
Go Ferris. Represent the CCHA and (the state of) Michigan and get rid of Cornell
Union has punched their ticket to Tampa.
UMD looks like they will face BC tomorrow for their shot.
I hate that we lost. Our half of the bracket is so soft. No one to blame but ourselves

OH MY, please tell me you just saw Ferris State score their first goal, almost identical to our disallowed goal. Except the goal was allowed....
Is this some new tournament rule? Hunwick got ran so many times as like every goalie, since when do they review this call...
UNREAL, but go Bulldogs!

Ferris wins. Thank goodness. I'll be pulling for them
