March Madness: Round 1, Day 2 Open Thread
First set of games are about to begin. Other than the obvious, which game (or games) are you most looking forward to watching today?
Bonnies lose track of the game score. What are you doing trying to take a 2 with so little time left?
"Experts" love Ohio too. Hope Michigan does the same as Georgetown.
Calling it right now: Missouri is screwed. They're in MSU's bracket. So they're screwed by the horseshoe jammed up Tom Izzo's ass that gives him as easy as possible a path to the Final Four.
edit: plus Frank Haith is a way overrated coach.
The same thing happened in 09. This Norfolk team is shooting bombs like they haven't at any other time during the season. The most veteran, talented, and hungry team in State's region: out.
Izzo is great in March, but he is every bit as lucky.
Is there a college ref that makes the game more about himself than Ed Hightower? I'm not even going into his court judgment but there's no need to behave the way he does.
Yes there is. Karl Hess. King Karl, we call him. Thank God those two don't work in the same conference. Hess is the jackass who had to be reprimanded by the ACC for kicking out the two NC State stars from the stands.
Ah, yes. How could I forget. I think because I see Hightower so much more often, I look for him to do unnecessary dance moves on the floor.
Come to think of it, it might be fun to watch them call a game together. Then assign Hightower one team to favor and Hess the other team and see how many bullshit fouls get called.
FWIW, I have them losing to Louisville. And I very nearly picked Memphis to pull the upset, but they are still too undisciplined to beat a team like State.
