OT: Man vs Food Ann Arbor episode on tv tonight
The Ann Arbor episode of Man vs. Food is on this evening (5:30 PM where I live) on The Travel Channel.
For those who haven't seen the show, the host goes to three local restaurants. He then has a "challenge", which involves either quantity or spice.
I won't give away any of the show, but he does get a Blimpie burger . . . .

...there is a steel pole, and another one to the southwest, kitty-corner from it. Brought to you by yours truly.

Not on for me - Raleigh, Little Rock, Las Vegas, Denver and Cleveland it's showing.

Never was a fan of the two non-deli restaurants. Better burgers in A2 and the rest of the Detroit area (such as Hunter House in Birmingham).
Edited to remove spoilers

Is anyone really that worried about a year old episode of Man vs. Food?
December 28th, 2011 at 8:00 PM ^
Is this a new one or just a re-run of the old one?

About a year old.

I would love to see him at Sadako! I would challenge him at sushi any day of the week boys and girls..... Also I heard he wasn't doing the challenges anymore because of health reasons, so i'm assuming this is a repeat?

I think you are right. He has a newer show called "Man vs Food Nation". In that one, regular people do the challenges, and he just cheers them on. You still get to see the different regional restaurants, but Adam does not do a challenge. I can watch it because I always liked seeing the different local specialties, but it isn't the exact same show.
And so yes, this is a repeat, but I just thought there might be people that hadn't seen it but would like to.

If you don't want to live on the Travel Channel's timeframe, Youtube is your friend.

No need to reignite the Zingermans/MnB Deli wars, but I do think Tio's was a somewhat weak choice for this show. It's not really very well known and there are other non-chain places that are more representative of our city and campus.

Last time I went into Zingermans I thought I had walked into Occupy Ann Arbor... I jest I jest! But seriously, Maize and Blue would spank those hipsters out of the skinny jeans they stole from my 12 years old niece any day of the week.

tios was a weak choice. I went to tios for the first time after seeing the episode last year. I think it's a fun place to sit outside during the summer but it's pretty much just Mexican bar food.

Just what this country needs, a show glorifying over eating.

I think he now does Man vs Food Challenge, where he watches other people attempt these things. Wonder if all of these monster food eating attempts eventually got to him. Do enough of them, and I can see it tearing you up.

Is the Tios Challenge even an actual thing? My only memory of Tios was a cheap place to get food when I lived in the Burlodge as a freshman. Wasn't even special.
