OT: Best Gift / Worst Gift

Best: New watch

Worst: Ladies v-neck sweater. Ok, so the sweater wasn't actually for me. When my wife wrapped it, she mixed up the "To" and "From." I had bought the sweater for my mother in law. The situation sucked twice, since after I opened it in front of her whole family, I had to try to explain why I gave her an opened gift, especially one that I bought and should have known better. Side note: my mother in law doesn't speak English and the story definitely lost something in the translation to Spanish.

Best, on Christmas eve: a druken, "Psst... I think I may be bisexual."

Worst, on Christmas morning: a hungover, "Don't worry... I'm completely straight."

Best: Cookbook from the Bubble Room on Cativa Island, FL, including the original recipes for all their cakes; that's right, be jealous.

Worst: Garlic clove peeler

Leaving to go to work, only to discover that my car was stolen Christmas morning.

Best- Being in a situation where it didn't ruin the day for the kids!

Not mine, but best at our house was a huge inflatable bouncy house complete with chuck-e-cheese type ball pit balls for my son. Absolutely loves it. Of course, WORST is also the huge inflatable bouncy house complete with balls; damn thing is about 3 times the size my wife thought it would be, (I guess she didn't read the dimensions online,) took an hour and a half to pump up; my arms are still sore. Plus it completely dominates our living room. We have NOWHERE else to go with it until next week when we get rid of some stuff in the porch. My house is an f-ing circus right now.

Best: my fiance is getting my my first tattoo.  Very excited.

 

Worst: I hate looking a gift horse in the mouth but I got a kitchen gadget that does't work... so that's unfortunate.

Best: three and out
Worst: 15 dollar gift card to subway... (i hate subway)

Best - (backstory needed first) I had a Barry Sanders jersey when I was a kid and loved it. As I grew older, I outgrew it, but it could still be worn as a tee shirt when I was in high school. One day, I went to my closet to wear it and it was gone. I asked my mom where it was and she said she gave it to a clothes drive at her school. I was so pissed. It's nice that some kid in inner city Toledo got a Barry jersey for free, but I was so upset. My parents finally rectified the situation 8 years later and got me a Barry Sanders jersey this year.

Worst - a Glenn Beck book. My dad knows I like to read, but he's an ultra-conservative slappy. I'll read it just so I can laugh at the ignorance of the guy, but I'm just sad that my dad put money into this guy's career.

Best: Le Creuset dutch oven (best thing EVER)

Worst: in general, going to the in-laws for Christmas day

Worst gift: boxer shorts and a couple tee shirts that are the wrong size

Best: Painted picture of the Denard Heisman pose (painted by my little sister)

Best (couple with graduation): Sugar Bowl tickets/trip

Worst: socks
