Michigan Basketball - Early Discussion
Maybe it is the result of the bye week, but I woke up in the mood to discuss some basketball.. Expectations will be relatively high for this squad, despite losing Morris. I was curious what Mgoblog's community opinion was on the following reagrding UM..
-Season Predictions?
-Most Improved/Breakout player?
-Point guard situation?
-Big Ten favorites?

Agreed. THJ, Sullinger, and Taylor are my early top 3 for B10 POY.

I think Gholston gets a 1 game suspension at minimum.
Edit: sorry, I picked a random thread and just assumed we were talking about MSU and Gholston. ;)

seem to go on. We only have to think back to last year when everyone was worrying about how we were going to replace Manny and Sims. That turned out OK.
We are going to be fine. It's not like we are empty at the point. We have an experienced senior and two highly ranked freshmen.

Could be a rocky start, but I agree. I think this is the most depth we have had in a long time, assuming Brundidge/Burke have the skills we think they do....

I'm excited to see what Brundige can do. He's listed on the roster at 6'2" 200lb, exactly what Marvin Robinson is. He'll be able to bully around a lot of 2 guards, me thinks.

1) Stu (gradually leading to Burke, if ready)
2) Novak
3) TImmy
4) Smot
5) Morgan
Howeva, I think Horford has the potential to play a lot more. He's lengthy. Brundige will be interesting to see if his defense allows him to stay in games, seems like the offensive potential is there. McLimans is my big wild card. Pretty sure we'll see the same role playing from Vogrich unless he put on some weight as well.
