Charles Woodson Happy for Hoke
"I'm very happy for Brady, very happy for the Michigan family," Woodson said. "I think he's going to do a great job. There's new excitement around Michigan football again."
Happy to hear from Charles.
From The Detroit News
Yesterday was the first time I have ever seen Charles Woodson live. He threw out the 1st pitch at the Tigers game. Even had a #2 Woodson home jersey on (Does he know #2 is retired in Detroit?!!) It was pretty cool to see him though.
A little-known provision in the Grand Bylaws of Sports: Heisman Trophy winners are allowed to put on retired uniforms in other sports.
My guess is 110 mph curveball for a strike.
Fred Jackson!
I couldn't even get into the auditorium where they were honoring him. The place was packed, standing room only.
My wife is a doc at the hospital, and she emailed me earlier today with:
"Woodson is going to be in the building in about an hour – he’s visiting with kids and having families and kids come say thank you for his sponsorship of the new hospital. It’s really cool!"
EDIT: She just updated me with: "I walked by and saw him from about 30 feet away. Extremely cool!!!"
Did he have a rose clenched between his teeth? cause he should always walk around like that.
Did he throw it and catch it himself?
Woodson will always be my favorite player of all time.
I have fond memories of watching him while I was in elementary school
I was in middle school
Love that His Dudeness negged this post. Apparently posting a quote from a Michigan Heisman trophy winner saying something nice about Hoke and being excited about the program is an attack on Rich Rod.
That is his modus operandi.
Does he even post anymore?
He's gone full troll.
I realize things didn't shake out the way he wanted them to, but that kind of makes it seem like he was a RR fan more than a Michigan football fan.
Before?
Never go full troll.
...I'll leave", after getting called out for making a gay slur (after basically trolling recruiting threads). But at least he stuck to it. Though obviously still reading (which is his right).

Program above individual...
TEAM, TEAM, TEAM
He missed the memo
Why would someone be duchie enoough, to NEG a quote from Sir. Charles! Oh well....

His Dudeness is truly atrocious.
I thought he didn't want to be associated with this blog? Guess he can't keep away.
It's about time on the avatar.
Are we supposed to hate Woodson now too? Because he also said-
<br>
<br>"I'm excited. I'm excited for Michigan football. I'm excited for Brady Hoke. Brady Hoke is a guy I consider a friend. Not just now but as a player he was a guy (as an assistant) that really cared about players. He talked to you all the time, joked around all the time, so it was good to hire him as coach of the University of Michigan football team. I'm excited. I think he'll do a great job, and I think he'll bring us back to national prominence, so I can't wait.
<br>
<br> "You've got a guy now who understands Michigan football. He understands the Big Ten. He understands (the rivalry with) Ohio State. That's what he's going to bring back to our team."
<br>
<br>I just wasn't sure if he was getting shit-listed around here now. Because God forbid an ex-player likes the direction the team is going.
If Chuck Woodson likes Coach Hoke, than I like Coach Hoke
If Chuck Woodson told you to jump off a bridge, would you?
Depends. How high is the bridge?
Hold on, hold on, hold on--the name of the bridge is Woodson Bridge.
Charles already jumped...
Of course.
Woodson would only tell us to jump off a bridge if it was collapsing - and there were comfy pillows below.
that he was able to throw that pitch at Comerica, that means his collarbone must be feeling better.
that's also not encouraging if you're Matthew Stafford.
A nice compliment from a Super Bowl Champion. Congrats Woodson on your Super Bowl Championship and a very nice gesture towards Coach Hoke. Gotta keep this Michigan family together.
