Michigan Lacrosse now 12-0
Michigan beat Mizzou 26-9 tonight at home. A quick look at stats and Michigan dominated the game start to finish. We play MSU next weekend.
I thought this might bring a smile to some of you out there, i know it is little compared to what could have been tonight.
Any good news right now is appreciated. Thx for the update.

I know this has probably been addressed countless times already, and I apologize if it has, but when will they make the official jump to D1?
I may just be an idiot and missed it a ways back, always a possibility.
of going D1 in 2013. If Tim reads this he may be able to offer more of the important details.
Don't have confirmation on hand but 2013 sounds right.
Thanks, guys. Much appreciated. Here's to hoping the rivalry with Duke will extend from basketball to Lax.

Let's give that one a few years.
I do like that you felt the need to check the stat sheet to confirm dominance after they won by 17 goals.
4-peat!!!
For what it's worth, having been at the game, in eight years of attending games, it was quite possibly the worst Michigan's played that they still won by 17.
Because that totally means something.
Also worth noting, 8 goals for Chad Carroll tonight. Impressive stuff.
How would Michigan compete at the D1 level this year?
Probably near the bottom, but there'd probably be a few wins for the taking here and there.
I don't think they would be really low. They could probably beat Detroit-Mercy by double digits. I would actually think just below the Top 20. If Michigan can't beat those teams, they'll certainly hang with them to the finish.
Interesting question. Michigan has a handful of players who could have or did play Division 1. Over the last ten to fifteen years Michigan has had DIvision 1 talent on campus. Now, they seem better than they've ever been. They would probably run in the back half of DIvision but I think they could be close to the middle of the pack. They could probably beat a handful of teams in the weaker conferences.
Additionally, if D-1 ever does roll around I would love to see Michigan ignite lacrosse rivalries with ND, tOSU, Penn State and Duke.

I'm sure we'd play all but Duke regularly. We'd probably join OSU's conference, for one.

Wasn't a very big crowd last night since their 7pm start was the same as the hockey game. Maybe 400? A lot of people left at halftime to catch the rest of the hockey game with the score in Oosterbaan already pretty lopsided.
Looking forward to the Michigan State game next Saturday. It's at Birmingham Seaholm High School at 7:00. Should be a great crowd. State is pretty good this year.
