further adventures in Jed York being unsuited for his position
Not sure if they weighed in today or if these are the same heights and weights as
Fall '14. Cue the WD signal and let the pre-over-somanyprefixes- analysis begin
Conference championship Saturday! No Michigan, but I think we all came to terms with that a while ago. I just cracked open a Winter White Ale. I'll probably open up a Founders Double Trouble later.
The SEC championship starts in a few minutes here. I think it will be ugly, but here's hoping Mizzou can make a game of it.
Happy weekend everyone! Hope everyone has a great one. Everyone make sure to raise their first drink to Ace.
And finally . . . Go Badgers!
As if the recruitment of Malik McDowell needed anymore "Wait... What?!" moments, TheWolverine released an interview with Lawrence Marshall earlier that included a pretty shocking quote:
"I told him he should go there if he wanted to - I'm happy for him at MSU," Marshall said. That was the school he wanted to go to. But he came to school today and was basically telling me he was going to Michigan. When the letter was on the table and he signed it, I thought he was going to Michigan.
When I first got there this morning he was leaning toward Michigan and telling me he was going to Michigan, so when he announced it, I was shocked."
Wait...WHAT?! I am now trapped in a glass case of emotion. It should be noted that McDowell's LOI is still not in, so who knows where he will end up.
Many of us were holding on to high hopes that Malik McDowell would choose UM but given this latest update from 247, it doesn't seem likely. Quote from McDowell's father traced back to a conversation with Wiltfong that is currently floating around Twitter reads "I want him out of Michigan. I don't care if that's Ohio State or Florida State".
It looks like M is out. Many believed our hopes were riding on his parent's affinity for Michigan even though Malik preferred MSU. Now it looks like his parents are urging him out of state altogether, thus crushing M's chances. Good luck to him with whatever school he chooses.
The blog returns. Gameday is in Fargo.
All of the noon games are boring. Actually Minnesota takes on San Jose State which features David Fales, a QB with legit NFL prospects. Will be interesting to see Minnesota against it's first non-abysmal competition. Upset watch in Minneapolis
Well, we've made it to the last Friday afternoon without college football coming. One week from now many of us will be itching to leave the office, out of towners like myself will have been packed up for the trip to Ann Arbor. With games next Thursday and Friday nights the season is finally here. What are you up to this final game-free weekend (Until Wife Day and Wife Day II Wife-Day-Harder)? What will you be doing almost exactly 193 hours from right now?
