A couple weeks ago, I put together a google map with all of the Michigan bars I'm aware of (and also everything from the spreadsheet that bouje has been maintaining.) The map is here.
Hopefully this will prevent the "where's the Michigan bar in Pittsburgh/Fresno/Topeka/wherever" threads that pop up every week, but if your favorite gameday hangout isn't on here, put it in the thread and let me know. I'll do my best to keep the map up to date.
Just saw an interesting article on ESPN Wolverine Nation about the 4 criteria that makes up the average B1G champion. The criteria are 1) top 40 scoring defense, 2) top 30 rush defense, 3) control the turnover battle and the clock, and 4) rank in the top 30 of rush offense. Basically they are saying the B1G champ all boils down to running the ball and defense. ESPN seems to think Michigan either is on the fence or meets all of those except the last one. I think most of us are pretty confident that this year's team will be fairly stout on defense, that there are enough skill players on offense, yet we are all concerned that the o-line will be competent enough to get an adaquate running game going. Do you buy this criteria?
Does anyone have a definitive answer to what the B1G bowl tie-ins are this year?
They have changed drastically. Affiliations that rotate yearly with new slotting as well.
The only thing I think I know is that if the B1G Champion isn't in the playoff, they WON'T go to the Rose Bowl.
I guess the fact that the BWW ACROSS THE STREET from Sun Devil Stadium chose to air some UFC event over the game was pretty much the final straw.
Jesus Wilson has been suspended from the Florida State football team for stealing a motor scooter.
While this isn't much news in and of itself, It is important to note that a player with the same initials was suspended for 3 baseball games and NO football games for stealing him some crab legs. I know that Winston enjoys playing baseball but really? Jimbo Fisher is running a nice, clean program down there.
