Cringe. Definitely cringe. Laughing will just encourage him.

02/09/2018 - 6:23pm this!

...and a doob at halftime.

12/13/2017 - 3:10pm Leave out only whole milk

with the cookies this year, kids.  Don't F it up at crunch time. santa

12/12/2017 - 5:06pm Very excited to learn

about all of these 18 tackles we're bringing in.  Hayes and Mayfield are in for some serious competition, not to mention the oversigning violation for the '18 recruiting cycle.

I keed, I keed.

12/07/2017 - 10:21pm New Musky?

I mean, he might not make batteries or launch rockets (or have hair plugs) but I think he'd be more than welcomed by the Maize n' Blue faithful.

11/15/2017 - 5:07pm Throwing the baby out with the bathwater...

First, MSU was on Brandon. Secondly, I would much prefer playing Wisconsin than Nebraska for a number of reasons including quality of competition and proximity for away games (Michigan has a much larger fan base in Chicago than in Omaha). Thridly, last years Game was not some conference wide conspiracy. Lastly (regarding this particular post) do you think any network with which we would sign wouldn't require us to play night games in proportion to all other big time programs?  Until there are no conferences, I think we are in about as good a place as we could be.

11/15/2017 - 4:44pm OhNo, what an awful idea.

User Name in this case (MGoOhNo), however, checks out.

11/14/2017 - 5:26pm This might fit well here:

, (2017). Race and the Deep Ball: Applying Stereotypes to NFL Quarterbacks. International Journal of Sport Communication. Volume:10 Issue: 1 Pages:41-57 doi: 10.1123/ijsc.2016-0074

This study experimentally tested whether White participants (N = 274) applied stereotypes to Black and White professional quarterbacks. Using common stereotypical descriptors established in prior research, this between-subjects experiment found that while the participants did not stereotype White quarterbacks, they did apply the stereotypes of “physically strong” and “naturally gifted” to Black quarterbacks, thus othering, or using race to establish an out group. These results are interpreted through the framework of social-identity theory.

11/12/2017 - 2:09pm Well, I'm pretty ambivalent about alternates, but...

Wisconsin vs. Nebraska or USC vs. Iowa State would be pretty absurd if both teams on the field wore home uniforms (or away for that matter). Navy/Notre Dame and probably some other matchups would look ridiculous too.

11/08/2017 - 5:17pm CRex, obviously.

Truly, though, I was a lurker and still pretty much am. I don't sign in a whole lot.

11/08/2017 - 4:34pm Since we're reminiscing...

I think I'll go try to find some of those old CRex diaries about his GF and her family.  Pure gold and sorely missed.

11/08/2017 - 3:07pm Is it actually possible

there were 41 YourMoms who came before you on this blog (and potenitially limitless more hereafter)? Or are you angered/aroused/??? by middle aged Moms? Or you are feuding with a user named 42 (which I guess might necessitate a comma in there)?  Something else altogether?  I'm just so intrigued by this moniker, especially in conjunction with the avitar. Do tell and welcome aboard.

11/08/2017 - 12:46pm Ugh. Yes. My oversight.

Hastily written.  Should be nicknames that don't end in S or contain a color.

MGoAccuracy appreciated.  Downvoted myself.

11/08/2017 - 12:23pm Bless your heart

(and other syruppy Southern platitudes).

11/08/2017 - 12:03pm FBS names in the singular

That DO NOT reference a color (e.g., Crimson Tide, Cardinal, Green Wave, Mean Green, or Orangemen excepted):

NC State Wolfpack; Nevada Wolfpack; Navy Midshipmen; Illiniois Fighting Illini; Notre Dame Fighting Irish; Massachusetts Minutemen; Marshall Thundering Herd

Let me know if I missed any.

10/19/2017 - 4:29pm Actually,

the rink wasn't 'renamed,' it was simply named.

10/19/2017 - 4:08pm Traeger Pellet (but not the small one)

I've had absolutely incredible results (and nothing but positive feedback from guests) with my Traeger Elite (bought at Costco about 4 years ago). The advantage of the pellet grill is its ability to maintain temperature without any fire tending.  A 13 hour pork shoulder can be done while sleeping without interruption. Just make sure the hopper remains adequately supplied and you're good. The abilty to cook/smoke at temps ranging from 200 to 550 is also a plus in terms of flexibility.  Pellet flavors are abundant and available at just about any ACE or Costco. The drawback is that you need a power source to run the auger that feeds the fire. Cant speak to the Egg other than that I've had some damn fine meals from those belonging to friends as well. I imagine you won't go wrong with either of those choices.

10/18/2017 - 10:21pm No pads would actually be pretty interesting, IMO

It would never happen, but it's intriguing to imagine what the modern game might look like.  Maybe a more highly skilled version of the 'Turkey Bowl' bowl games a lot of us play at Thanksgiving. There would be all sorts of implications, I'm sure. It would surely slow the speed of defensive pursuit and perhaps increase offensive production as defensive players would be less likely to 'sell out' on tackles. Violent hits leading with the head would be avoided (I would think). OTOH, knees to head and heads hitting hard ground might be as bad or worse than today's results. Somehow, howver, I think people's natural instincts for self preservation might decrease injuries overall. Do Aussie footballers suffer more serious injuries than American rules players? Seems to me that's a reasonable comparison in terms of contact (acknowledging that US players are likely bigger, faster and stronger on average). I odn't know,.. just spitballing in the hypothetical.

02/13/2017 - 6:09pm Of course...

it's just been one of those Mondays. Amongst all the pedophilia and sexual assualt news, I'm feeling kinda grumpy. I don't mean to snipe.

02/13/2017 - 5:48pm Technically...

Hopefully not his last.

02/06/2017 - 10:43pm In the interest of fairness:

It seems this guy came with Rhule from Temple, so as much as I'd like to, I can't pin this one on institutional irresponsibility on the part of Baylor.  Yes, it's another black mark in Waco.  I'm just glad to hear Rhule dismissed him immediately.

02/06/2017 - 10:18pm please keep this "above board,"

my MGOBrethren. [edit] meaning... i've seen too many a feel-good story get off topic for all the wrong reasons.

02/06/2017 - 9:22pm "and (I) actually had been doing both

on and off gfor [sic] sometime [sic] even before that."  LSA, that sounds like a tiny cry for help. I kind of wish I could give you a hug right now.

02/06/2017 - 3:04pm Might want to cue up the Peters/Brady post

while we're at it, as I am now fully committed to the infallability of internet speculation and blind optimism. Thank you, OP.

Your Mama's so fat, when she passes in front of the TV, I miss between 3 & 9 episodes.

02/03/2017 - 5:27pm Well there's an ironic double post.

derp.

02/03/2017 - 5:26pm Your master doesn't use peanut butter

like most people?  YES-TTIAWWT.

02/02/2017 - 1:00pm not so much blue/grey

more of a greige, I think. Pewter maybe.

02/02/2017 - 12:57pm Hindenburg: I'm still amazed

that out of more than 100 people in that thing and on the grounds crew, "only" 36 died. crazy.

02/02/2017 - 12:18pm Committing by weather balloon?

and I thought FAX was antiquated.  The NCAA really needs to update its technology.  Drupal maybe?

I keeeeed.

02/01/2017 - 3:37pm But we all needed another Hello post...

so thanks.

02/01/2017 - 3:33pm So is this the official, official board Hello?

If so, hooray for the good guys.  Great class. great in and out of state reruiting.  The future is bright.

01/31/2017 - 1:45pm Was that the Owl sign he was flashing?

Or was he just showing us the extent to which he's reemed his own career by being a fuckwad?

01/31/2017 - 1:41pm This upcoming season is an opportunity for Harbaugh

to show how good a coach he is and whether or not scheme can overcome experience. Along with most, I too am tempering my expecatations for the upcoming season, but have confidence we will beat some teams who outrank us in "talent" and experience on paper. Of course, OL and secondary depth are the wild cards that have everyone sweating, but it would be nice to see the team playing its best football at the back end of the schedule.  That would greatly boost my optimism for 2018.

01/31/2017 - 12:39pm This ^. BSU's succcess is sort of like

"I don't have to be faster than the bear, I just have to be faster than you."  I agree that playing 8 games against the Mountain West put them in a great position to be ranked every year just based on record alone. They also benefitted from a (at the time) cutting edge offensive system installed by Dirk Koetter and refined by Coach Pete.

01/31/2017 - 12:12pm That line must reel them in

on his Rent a Boyfriend profile.

01/31/2017 - 11:52am WTF*Lion?

!

01/27/2017 - 6:34pm I kind of feel sorry for Matt Rhule

Not more than the victims, of course and yes, I know he's a big boy who is incredibly well compensated.  I just can't imagine he anticipated what an absolute shit show Waco has continued to be.  I could see a guy like Bobby Petrino letting himself be "fooled" into taking over a mess like this for money, but Rhule doesn't strike me like that. In a way, I hope he was duped, because he could have taken a lot of other jobs. Perhaps he can be a force in turning around an abhorrent culture.

01/27/2017 - 2:43pm The Iron Sheik

and Ivan "Polish Hammer" Putski will be disqualified for a small but lurid infraction in their match with Larry Zbysko and Bob Backlund.  There will be loads of back hair.

01/27/2017 - 12:11pm There is no "I"

in FAIL.  wait. what?

01/24/2017 - 6:18pm Media coverage aside

I advise folks to never hate a group of 18-22 year old athletes just trying to win for their coaches and team.  Hating any bloviating, obnoxious, sycophantic adult supporters to the point of wishing them extreme emotional distress, however, is heartily encouraged.

01/24/2017 - 5:26pm Purdue is the pretty normal nerdy kid down the street

with the cool Estes rocket collection and the almost-hot (hot enough anyway) big sister.  He's impossible to hate, pretty mellow, from a nice family, and you'll protect him if he gets picked on. So yeah, no problem rooting for this kid at all.
