Me personally? I’d just go to Rivers Casino on the North Side and post up at the Sportsbook and lose everything there. There is also a couple of bars between PNC Park and Heinz Field which will have TVs going. I like Southern Tier or Bar Louie but I’m a washed up dad. If you’re a college student, South Side will have unlimited options. If you’re young professional, Shady Side will have less options but some nonetheless. If you’re looking for a bit slower, go to the North Side as mentioned above.
I don’t know where Pitt plays this weekend so that would turn the North Side into a bit more of a busy place since Heinz Field is right there.
I’m a Michigan fan living in Pittsburgh. You won’t have any trouble finding the game at any sports bar here. I’ve never missed a game at home or, more frequently in my case, at bars. What part of the city will you be staying in?
I genuinely don’t remember that refs part of it but I didn’t follow as closely then as I do now or maybe was just young and naive. I can see how that’d sour someone’s opinion but that’s about the league and not the player.
I think this is exactly it. He’s shut up over the past few years and is fun to watch. LeBron cries. Brady bitches. They’re competitive and hate when shit doesn’t go their way but god damn do they make the game better when they’re on.
It’s wild to me that this board cares about a team and a player that they split Championship runs with a decade ago. Maybe not the whole board but enough that there’s a theme. Maybe I’m missing something but how are they even relevant to the the Red Wings anymore? And someone even put them and OSU in the same sentence?
But yes, it was unexpected that the Pens and Lightning both just got whooped on.
The kids lost a brother and a friend. They did dedicate this game to him because it does matter to them regardless how badly the Coaches and University failed.
If this is how they grieve or celebrate his name, that’s their decision to make and clearly they chose that with the jersey, flag, and delay of game. Of course the commentators will make note of it too because it’s noteworthy.
I liked the guy before this...love the guy now. Sure, he’s had not nice things to say about the things I like, which suck to hear sometimes, but when it comes down to it, he also says bad things about those who deserve it. This is a case where he’s been ruthless for the last 72 hours and deservedly so. I get that he’s not loved here so this will die quickly but...the enemy of my enemy is...my friend??? Or however that goes?
Well that's what I was trying to say. Sure. There were some thing early on that made me think he had the LeBron complex but over the past couple years he's shut up and did his job. If the handshake snubs are a thing and still going on, sure, I'll give you that. But everything else he just shut up played at a different level. Those two kids on his first line with him are so much fun to watch. They just go and he facilitates it all.
I don't get the Crosby hate. Sure he was young and complained a lot but he's turned into an incredible player. The Cindy Crysby jokes were relevant 8 years ago but he's a legit pro now. I'd take him over Ovie a million times over due to being more about The Team. Isn't that what this blog loves? Years ago? Sure hate him. But now, why? He's a quiet guy who dominates when it clicks. Hate away but I love when he gets going.
Is that a new font or is that an extremely tight jersey stretched weirdly on a jacked mannequin seen in a photo grainier than Iowa?
I'm anxious too for these too but this is quite a reach. I'm sure Harbaugh came back and fixed tradition only to switch to WVU style numbers in year two. Sure of it.
A genuine question but could some (I stress "some") of this be due to that NYE has parties? instead of 10 people watching at individual homes, 10 people are watching the same TV. I'm not even remotely familiar with how ratings work but does that have any impact?
But if you want added interest to meaningless games you should try 5 and 6 team parlays. Sure, it's a longshot most weeks, but those 2 or 3 weeks a year where you have 5 out of 6 the right and the 6th is the late game makes that way more interesting. Plus, you only have to bet, say, $15 to win $150. If you bet online, they make the calculations for you and let you know what's on the line. For me, I can't beat the thrills for only $15/week. Believe it or not, I am actually up a few hundred by doing this.
Here's my actual tip, bet on ohio. If they're going to frustratingly win every week, I might as well make some money off of them. But don't worry, it doesn't numb the feeling at all.
I locked in UM at -2 early in the week and like NW +10.5. Just sayin'.
Didn't see this posted but the Dolphins official twitter announced Kovacs was promoted from the practice squad to active roster. I just saw him on punt coverage. So that's good for Michigan.

I never said it was the only recruiting tool, it's just one of the many. My job puts me in a position to hear 17 and 18 year olds opinions. Too often its about that stuff. I don't agree, but it's true
I know I am gonna get crushed for saying this, and for posting a whole 4 times, but I have to. Stop making the uniforms about what you want and stop complaining. The players love it and that's all that matters. These things matter to recruits and if highlighter shoes mean better players, then I am all for it. Just accept what sports are evolving into because we can't change it.

i had the same problem for months. Uninstalling mgodroid and flash player and then reinstalling fixed it. Also, check and uncheck embed videos
