I disagree.

I disagree. Also, because that's me.

Walk the walk.

It takes a lot to Maize and Blue.

Fair enough. I think they'd

Fair enough. I think they'd still have fun jabbing at us even if we beat them. That's what makes the rivalry great. We're always on each other's minds.

Understood.

I agree. I'd switch with them in a heartbeat. I think it's a great picture, though and I just wanted to have some fun with it.

YBOR

Stay on the main drag in Ybor City. It can get pretty wild down there. If you're looking for some great Cuban food go to La Teresita or Arco Iris. I like the bars near Hyde Park/Soho better than the Ybor scene.

Public transportation is virtually non-existant. If you rent a car, it might be worth the hour or so drive to go down to Siesta Key in Sarasota. It's one of the best beaches in the country.

USC fits his needs

I'd say it would be tough to pull McQuay away from USC if they get their hooks in to him. I think his main interest in choosing a school besides it's football program is if that school can help him in the recording industry. I'd say Los Angeles > Ann Arbor in that regard.

No, not ashamed that I listen

No, not ashamed that I listen to Jim Rome. Ashamed that I admit to being a sports talk radio caller...

I'm ashamed to say that I've

I'm ashamed to say that I've called his show frequently. I've been a Rome slappy for years.

Agreed.

Dragging his coach/father into the discussion is a negative for Michigan especially since Gilman is a great program that produces a lot of talent. It's be like calling out Good Counsel or Cass Tech's coaching staff over recruiting nonsense.

Farrell questioned Webb's

Farrell questioned Webb's ethics regarding the announcement. Webb responded with the "quit crying" tweet and it's gone back and forth from there. Not breaking news but good for some early morning entertainment.

I'm so glad

I'm so glad he had a 'committable offer' because this kid is a beast!

RCMB

I don't expect any malting over at the Red Cedar Message Board today. Especially not with hot topics like "Hoobastank - Are they any good?" taking up their time.

A new commit? Cue Kate Upton.

A new commit? Cue Kate Upton staring contest.

No, I dont think I'll see East Lansing...

8-year-olds dude.

Trollbait

I'd worry more about the 3 losses that ruined your season. Enjoy your Bloomin' Onion.

Ladies

Juggalo

Fixed.

Fixed the glaring error. Thanks for the LULZ.

Professor Miller?

Professor Miller,

Is that you?

Sorry, after reading your post I was having flashbacks from the critiques I used to receive from my professors.

Thanks for the breakdown. I'm new to writing the diaries and will admit to rushing through portions of the article. I'm sure as I keep writing them things will smooth out but I won't be able to shed the rust of not writing for 5+ years without constructive criticism. So for that, I thank you.

Great point.

I should have included in the diary that these two guys seem like polar opposites. Dunn is very reserved and keeps things close to the vest. Pryor was flashy and wanted the spotlight. I'm not trying to compare the two personality wise, I just think this battle is as important as the battle for Pryor was at the time.

Don't ever say that again.

Jesus God no. I simply looked at OSU's schedule, did a little research and made an opinion based on Hoke's first year and the potential of Meyer's first year.

I used to live in Gainesville, I know that Meyer is a good coach. I hope that I'm wrong.

Good points.

I agree that based on OSU's past performance in 08', 09 and 10'. I was simply trying to make a  1st year comparison for both coaches based on their schedules in the first year. We don't know the sanctions, if any, but by the looks of it it seems like it will only be a slap on the wrist and Meyer will start building his team.

T-Rich

Could this be in response to the fact that Royce decided not to take any more visits but Terry Richardson did not? Maybe they aren't as firm with T-Rich and need a high-quality guy to replace him if he bolts before signing day.

Sounds like he wasn't

Sounds like he wasn't adapting well to DT in Petrino's system after switching from running back. I guess it's just wishful thinking, but this guy sounds like he fills two current needs: FB and DT. He already burned his redshirt, which is a shame, so that means he's likely JUCO bound if he wants to play immediately.

Off topic, but can't help but

Off topic, but can't help but agree.

How many kids has Michigan offered?

Everyone?

My bad I guess.

I was not a member of the MGoBoard community last season. I spent a good portion of the 7 losses in a haze.

That was actually my...

That was actually my next post: "A giant case, cask or cupboard of FAIL for Obi Ezeh"

Understood

Of course I want to see Denard succeed. The point of this post was me merely making a parallel betwen the two players with similar teams. Gaudy numbers by a star player that the team can't win without. Young defense that gives us a bunch of yards/points.

Thanks, teach.

I just gave you an internet high-five.

Our offense.

In our offense, it is essential to get 1st and 2nd level blocks. Having quick, strong and agile lineman the reason we lead the nation in rushing. (Denard helps, but it's not 1 vs. 11)

Our lineman dictate the tempo and are laying the hits instead of receiving the blows from the linebackers and lineman. I think that as the season progresses, you'll see Michigan start to wear down these oversized lineman and linebackers because we're using their size against them.

Additionally, dipping any offense player in Barwis' urine essentially makes them Ulysses.

That is all.

This .gif is win.

Kudos to you for displaying some of my odd behaviors as a Michigan fan.

Iowa vs. Penn St.

Iowa's crowd looks awesome. Penn State looks like crap. That O-Line is getting killed. Martin will Hulk Smash! them.

I'd like to join but...

I just got the game today so my suckage will be on display. I would like Oregon if they are available.

I want the gold.

I want the gold.

Big Loss

This is definitely a big loss for the offense but I think that our rotation has the strength to pick up the slack. I feel that facing a QB like Chappell is dangerous for our defense. However, I don't expect the RB's to have to pass block that much. With the combination of Smith and Cox, plus the running capabilities of Denard-a-tron, I don't see us putting up big passing numbers. I think this will be a ball control, long-drive type of game. Once we get the crowd out of it, it's over. Long, demoralizing drives are crowd killers.

Best Non-Mich

I was in Auburn for the 2007 USF vs. Auburn game. Was glad to see USF pull the upset (my Alma Mater). Great game atmosphere until the drunk Auburn fan chucked a table at my wife and I from the third floor of an apartment building as we walked back to our car. Great game that went into overtime.

TuneIn Radio

I downloaded the TuneIn radio app ($1.99) and it allows you to search for specific channels nationwide. I just searched Google for stations that play Michigan Football. Keep trying till you find one that streams.

Hope this helps.

I'm excited.

Assuming that these guys maintain health, don't leave early or transfer, our 2012 squad looks pretty stacked with juniors and seniors who'll be in their third year of the offense/defense.

Denard (SR), Omameh (SR), Mealer (SR), Roh (SR), Campbell (SR), Kovacs (SR), Cox (SR), Roundtree (SR), JT Floyd (SR), Terrence Robinson, Je'Ron Stokes(SR), Vincent Smith (SR), Lewan (JR), Carvin Johnson (JR), Marvin Robinson (JR), Gardner (JR), Jabreel Black (JR).

I'm sure there are plenty of guys I'm missing but...

As far as Alabama goes, they way they recruit they'll always be stacked but I'm pretty sure they will have lost McElroy by then, will no longer have Ingram, Julio Jones, and I'm just guessing but I think Richardson will jump early after his junior year if he stays in Beast Mode.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but the 2012 Michigan Squad could be special.

Bill Burr

Bill Burr is amazing. He totally destroys Philadelphia after they boo'ed him at an Opie and Anthony comedy tour. He trashes Philly so bad that by the end of it he actually wins over the crowd. Look it up.

Do you want Alan Branch or Jabba the Hut?

Do you want Alan Branch or Jabba the Hut? I also think that playing time is earned. The kid is huge, has great talent and would obviously help out a line that needs a space eater. That said, I don't want him getting blown off the ball or injured against quality O-Lines like Wisconsin or tOSU because he's not in shape yet.

This might be a stupid question to ask. Wouldn't getting him into the game help him get game speed and game shape? BGSU seems like a good game for him to get reps.

The only one...

The only one that comes to mind is Justin Feagin.

Dip RichRod

If we would just dip RichRod in a vat of Barwis' urine we'd basically have the Ulysses of college football.

As a side note, I truly believe in the healing powers of Barwis' urine.

Piss on you REMIX!

Florida

As someone who used to live in Gainesville and work in the medai down there, TRUST ME, there is so much more that the Gainesville PD lets slide because they are all Gator honks. There is absolutely nothing to do in Gainesville but get wasted, scream "WOO, GO GATORS!" and get in bar fights.

In addition, driving 15 miles in any direction of Gainesville puts you smack dab in Deliverance.

Turnovers

I don't see UM putting the ball in the air too much against BGSU. With all the emphasis and quotes over the last couple of weeks of getting other backs involved, I would assume that it's going to be a "run until they stop it" kind of day. I think Fitzy will make it back into the line-up and you'll see Hopkins eat his fare share of cupcakes.

But numbers are numbers

We could play the "what-if" on us putting the ball on the ground. The difference between last year and this year is that we're in position to recover and are doing a better job in the HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL department. Aside from special teams, which after three year you'd think would be at least moderately fixed, we're winning the turnover battle. Win the turnover battle, win the game.
