Not a mod this game, but A&M is about to steamroll the game with multiple regions (which give multipliers). Breaking up their regions is a smart move

That's not really how it…

That's not really how it worked. We had it split by stars, not people, and you couldn't just have a bunch of players click. There was a verification process. Anyone who didn't register a move would be blocked, and anyone who wasn't a Michigan player would be blocked. We had 95% order compliance rate while engaging 87% of all Michigan players. The other teams weren't able to get information from it unless they were actively playing for us and would never have been able to see our distribution.

The current set-up means that one spy gets the entire distribution. A website's the better move.

No one expected it

Except…

No one expected it

Except for anyone who played last time when Michigan and OSU allied early in the game (along with Wisconsin). We all know that how that ended up.

Also, weren't you the guy who got banned from the game last time for creating like 50 bot accounts? Lol

Judging by our intel, we…

Judging by our intel, we were never going to split the reds apart. The Queso Alliance was the only thing that kept us in the game.

The alliances largely fell…

The alliances largely fell as they were last round. The Red Alliance largely stayed together (though we were able to partner with Nebraska) from day 1. We tried to get A&M to side with us and even had an alliance with them, before we discovered that their dealings with us were complete lies and they were partnered with OSU from the start.

The Blue Alliance fell apart, because Florida decided to boycott, and GT was largely in it for Florida. Then GT had terrible strategy at the end and decided to attack us, because they thought it would help them win, which handed the game to OSU. The irony is that (despite us telling GT that this would lose them the game, and GT agreeing with us that it would have), GT could have won had they not attacked us.

OSU chose to attack us. In case you didn't notice, we were in the SW avoiding them and taking on Texas A&M instead. We also never once tried to take over Michigan, so I'm not sure why you're saying we did. We didn't care about taking the Michigan and just tried to maintain a hold in the SW and NE.

Michigan mods also helped develop the game. We got unlucky.

It wasn't cheating. We were following their recruitment efforts and we had a spike that was similarly significant.

we were taking on firepower…

we were taking on firepower from OSU, GT, A&M, AND Wisconsin in the last few turns. We may have more players and power than OSU, but we don’t outnumber all 4 of those teams.

if you combine our allies, Nebraska and Texas, it’s still a pretty large deficit.

We had the game mods look into it a couple days ago. It looks like all of your accounts got flagged as alternate accounts with the same IP address. Unless you have 15-20 people living under the same roof, then these are probably legitimate alt accounts which are against the rules. All of the accounts associated get zeroed out permanently because of that.

If you and your friends wish to continue to contribute, then you can make another reddit account and play from there. But DO NOT play with more than one account, otherwise you will have the same exact problem.

We asked Nebraska to move in to help hit GT. That way we have extra stars to spare fighting OSU

The only way your friends…

The only way your friends got blacklisted is if they didn't follow the orders they were given or if they got caught in the alt filter.

If it's the latter one honest explanation is that a lot of your friends/family are playing from the same house, so it's possible they'd get flagged as one person playing on multiple accounts (upwards of 5-6) from the same network. If this sounds like it could be the case then let us know.

Might be too late in the day…

Might be too late in the day for this to get seen.

But the first thing here is that the first picture is something that was never supposed to happen. We reached that map because Stanford was playing as Michigan and attacking Nebraska to try to mess with our alliance.

The general terms of our alliance were to always have the Boise St territory and anything East of that as Nebraska's domain while Michigan kept California and Nevada. The PNW (Oregon, Oregon St, Washington, Washington St) we wanted to make sure both teams had a presence in so we could both help defend against Ohio state when they would inevitably get to Alaska and threaten Washington. Because of rogues and just RNG, we have been booted out of the PNW and that definitely wasn't the plan, but it also wasn't the plan for us to monopolize it either.

Regarding the two Nevada territories (and Oregon), we are okay with Nebraska temporarily having those territories so they can help supplement any of our defenses and attacks against Georgia Tech in the west coast.

They would Chaos out. We only have assignments for Michigan players, because we don't want to risk important strategies leaking (which teams have attempted to do)

What's your reddit name? We should be able to get it fixed.

Sounds like you picked Indiana as the team you wanted to play for. Indiana is dead, so your options were to play as Wisconsin, who currently owns the Indiana Territory, or play as Chaos which is basically the team of the dead (the green and black spots).

Anyways, if you drop your reddit name we can fix it for you.

We gave a pitch to GT of the…

We gave a pitch to GT of the benefits of remaining neutral and not choosing a side. It fell on deaf ears obviously.

If they sided with us there's still no way OSU could be eliminated, they simply have too much power, so I'm not sure that was ever a realistic option. Them choosing to side with us just ensures that we will win the game and they'd have no real shot at 1st place.

If they side with OSU (as they have) there's a chance they can destabilize us with the help of OSU/A&M and have an outside shot at first place. Although realistically OSU would be the frontrunner here.

If they remained neutral then they could've hovered around 25-27 territories relatively easily and hoped that OSU/A&M made up some ground on us, as we have had unfounded luck the last few turns. In this scenario they could've had a real chance to win.

However, they made their decision for what they thought was best for them. There aren't any hard feelings.

All part of the plan. We're…

All part of the plan. We're working together to take on the Bucks, and they need some territory to play with.

The moves from last night can be viewed by looking at team history, or on individual territories, depending on what you're looking for. There's also an API with stats and numbers that I personally don't understand but if you do, more power to you.

Things with Nebraska are a bit foggy right now, but we hope to have more clarity tonight.

There has been a level of…

There has been a level of coordination amongst eliminated teams occasionally. Notably last time, Tennessee coordinated their users to bother Florida as chaos. We're seeing that with Oklahoma right now seemingly trying to eliminate Clemson, before presumably going for Texas.

Pretty much spot on for both…

Pretty much spot on for both.

The mods typically figure out a general plan of what percentage of our power we want to devote to each region of the map.

We’ve been working with some of our users that have been able to develop an algorithm generates the ideal amount of power in each territory depending on a few variables to theoretically maximize our expected results.

point 2 is spot on. Taking an order and not executing just creates a discrepancy  with the above noted ideal power for the territory and the actual power we have there.

Important thing to note here…

Important thing to note here is that regardless of if we're trying to get into Texas/Oklahoma we will still be under attack by A&M.The difference being us attacking/defending territory in Texas against A&M or A&M attacking us in Arizona State closer to where our stronghold is.

Putting resources into Texas/Oklahoma provides the opportunity to capture TCU and then border 6 different territories in Texas. Now A&M has to worry about defending those 6 territories instead of trying solely focusing on attacking us in Arizona and into California.

The reason Wisconsin and Georgia Tech are able to do what they're doing is because they have no enemies. Georgia Tech literally doesn't have enemies besides Chaos, they're neutral with everyone else. Wisconsin is allied with Ohio State and doesn't have to worry about anything else besides Nebraska, therefore they have a bunch of protected territories in Michigan.

We aren't given that luxury. Regardless of what we do A&M and Ohio State will devote a ton of resources at us. You could say that maybe we should just give up the territories in the Northeast and then focus on getting protected territories back in California. Okay, then what happens to all of the territories in the northeast? Ohio State captures all of them uncontested and now they have 20 protected territories and 30 total AND they can now devote 100% of their resources on us in California. Now it's impossible to recover enough ground on OSU's massive stronghold to win the game by the end of turn 50. It's the same situation if you think we should abandon the west coast to focus on the northeast/midwest.

Hopefully this provides some transparency of the strategy.

Edit: I would also check the recent history of chaos in Hawaii and SDSU if you want to see how badly they're itching to attack us

We are directly at war with…

We are directly at war with OSU and A&M. Their star power combined edges us out a bit, but we also have Texas helping us with A&M, so it balances the scale a little bit.

Georgia Tech has done a really good job of staying neutral, so they have been able to claim a region of the map that is free of any serious threat from anyone. And no one wants to go to war with them.

We bailed out of the Midwest…

We bailed out of the Midwest in the beginning of the game to move out to California and establish a base there.

Just because we’re battling Ohio State doesn’t mean the strategy fell by the wayside in the name of revenge.

Ohio State attacked us in the west and we have tried and succeeded to disrupt their base in the northeast to even the playing field.

To be honest, it's more for…

To be honest, it's more for our sake than anyone else's. We stay up til 3AM planning our strategy and doing diplomacy (which is why our orders go out so early). The game devs have it set to 11 so we can at least get an extra hour of sleep and pretend to be rational people.

Sorry about that, but it can't really be helped

Can confirm, there will be…

Can confirm, there will be another season. At the moment, it looks like it'll take place in the fall if the college football season doesn't happen. If not, it'll be back next year
