Michigan has shutout every team they've played so far in the NCAA Tournament and hasn't given up more than one goal in a single game all year.

This has the makings of a very special finish.

Michigan gets the winner of wake forest/1 virginia.

Michigan is perfect at home in the NCAA Tournament at 10-0-0.

The quarterfinal game against the Virginia/Wake Forest winner is at a home field to be determined.  Since they prefer to go by seeding, Michigan (#3 seed in the region) would play at Virginia (#1 overall seed), and they would host Wake Forest (not seeded in the top 4 in the region).

If Wake Forest ends up winning, and assuming Michigan hosts, the game could be either Friday or Saturday (I would assume Friday, because of other on-campus sporting events Saturday).

The semifinals and final will be at Cary, NC.

Great season for the team, and especially great to see Nkem Ezurike going out with a bang in her senior season.  Arguably the greatest player in Michigan women's soccer history and she just doesn't want to stop playing.  Hope the ladies can keep things rolling!

This was just another in a string of excellent games played and won by these women. They are an excellent team and if you haven't watched them play you should.

After almost 9 years in the Army I'm now an undergraduate engineering student at Michigan. I've never been a soccer fan, and in fact had never watched a whole game of soccer. I love football, hockey, and basketball. When I moved here with my wife and 4 year old daughter I rented a house in the area and by amazing luck our neighbors daughter was beginning as a freshmen at Michigan and was a scholarship player on the soccer team. To support our neighbors I decided to go to the first home game of the season and brought my daughter. Since then I've been hooked. These women are so much fun to watch and are so talented. Yet even with all the individual talent, they play so well together as a team. I really enjoy watching their games and cheering for them. They've made me a fan of soccer which is something I never thought could happen. My daughter loves going to the games as well and cheering for our neighbor and the entire team. Since moving down here she learned the Victors and sings it constantly. The only thing that could be better would be if more people would come watch and cheer for these women. The attendance at the Womens Soccer is rather low. While it's a little late this season, if you want to see some great competitors battle it out, you really should come watch this team play.

Unfortunately, Michigan will have to go on the road to advance to the College Cup.  Friday's quarterfinal matchups:

#8 Michigan at #1 Virginia (Friday, 7:00 EST)

#6 UCLA at #5 North Carolina

#28 Duke at #7 Virginia Tech

#42 Boston College at #3 Florida State

The rankings are from the RPI; the actual top 4 seeds per the NCAA seeding are #1 Virginia, #2 Florida State, #3 Virginia Tech, #4 North Carolina.

The ACC has managed to place 6 teams in the quarterfinals.
