Will Campbell is blue

Submitted by GoBlue00 on
In news paper it talked about the 4 early enrollments going to mich in january (forcier, smith, etc) Then said, there was another name with these 4 ( a fifth ).. And it was William Campbell. So Campbell is already enrolling into MIch but doesnt officially announce til Jan 3.

He is enrolled because he applied early to Michigan. He also applied early to 4 different schools. The fact that he has a uniqname means only that UM remains a school he COULD go to. My fingers are crossed but we don't know anything yet.

they don't give uniqnames out to people not enrolled in the school, and Campbell cannot be enrolled in more than 1 school. It's all but official!!! Ready for the 3-3-5 Will?

Not sure why everyone thinks RR is going to fully implement the 3-3-5. How many DC's/schools implement this type of D? The only one that did was WV and their DC that opted not to accompany RR to A2. So, unless Hopson gets the nod and decides to implement it (he never used it when he was a DC), the odds are against RR going back to it in full force. Besides, what right thinking candidate would throw out all of his experience to come to UM to be forced to implement a style of play he's never used before just because RR wants him to?

1. More schools than just WV ran the 3-3-5. One name in the mix is Rocky Long, former head coach of New Mexico, who ran a 3-3-5 there. 2. The 3-3-5 defense has a number of number of variations. Hopson did run a version of the 3-3-5 at least some of the time while at Southern Miss. 3. It appears that Rich Rod hired Shafer with the intention of making him run the 3-3-5 at least some of the time, despite a lack of experience with it. It is plausible that he's willing to hire a DC that has never run the 3-3-5 as long as the coach seems open to learning.

Everyone is freaking out about this defense but full versions would only be used against other spread teams like Purdue. Considering R.R. is an expert on "his" Spread Option, I'd like to think he also knows how to stop it. He's just trying to find an open minded coordinator, which should really pay off later.

saying Bill Will is BLUE is not be as what it seems, so don't count on it until the deal is done. For an applicant to get to the matriculated stage, they have to pay an enrollment deposit. I'm not sure this is an issue with an athlete on scholarship. Once they are matriculated, they create a U of M name and end up in the directory. This is what all the hub-bub is about. At this point, it is not a done deal! If they are not enrolled in any classes then the registrars office can cancel the matriculated student. It happens all the time. So while it does look promising, it could also be smoke and mirrors. So lets be careful and wait untill the deal is done.

From a brief search: Will Campbell, Tate Forcier, Brandin Hawthorne, Vincent Smith, Vlad Emilien. Their entries were all created on December 23rd. The only guy who expressed interest in early enrollment (that I know of) that I can't find in the directory was Anthony LaLota.

I think that would be extremely unlikely, but is it really not even possible? IIRC, the NCAA doesn't officially consider you a student (and your five-year clock to have started) until you've actually attended a class, so I would think that you could theoretically enroll at multiple schools - you just couldn't end up attending more than one.

No, it's not possible. I posted a link to the NCAA site on the other "Will Campbell is enrolled" thread. Once you have enrolled at one school, you would need to sit out a transfer year to attend a different school. Thus, enrolling at two schools is not an option.

Let's now forget that the next big hurdle Will and all other incoming players need to do is get through NCAA CLEARING HOUSE. That's not always so easy as we saw with Witherspoon.

people are dumb.. 3-3-5, 4-3, 3-4.. whatever. There all gonna give u success if u run them right. So RR is gonna do what DEF is right and do it right.. Spread option, spread pass heavy, I-formation.. Etc are diff for OFFenses, if run correctly, ull be successful.
