Is tonight's basketball game seriously only on ESPN3?
November 24th, 2014 at 11:00 AM ^
Yes, it's only ESPN3.
No, you do not need a cable provider password. It's an ESPN3-exclusive.
You'd only need a password if the game was on a TV station and you wanted to watch on the computer.
Luckily for many (and myself because ESPN3's quality sucks), this week will be the final week of Michigan games that aren't on a normal TV station. Tonight's game obviously and Saturday against Nicholls State (BTN Plus).

Totally streaming from my tablet to smart tv!
As a directtv customer I've given up on ESPN streaming didn't realize I'd be able to without a password.
On a side note, ESPN and DirectTV can suck it.

If you have DirecTV who is your internet provider? - because you might be able to get ESPN3 that way. I have DirecTV and AT&T and can get ESPN3 that way.

Charter for internet, thought I'd tried it but I may try again next time it's a locked stream. Thanks for the heads up. I know when I had ATT uverse only a few years ago for internet it wouldn't take that login and/or said I wasn't subscribed for the right package.

He needs to stop giving me a bad name.

Yeah, it sucks. And what's even worse is that the Iowa State vs Alabama game got the ESPN2 timeslot.
I said in the other thread, if you have the WatchESPN app on a tablet, Xbox 360/One, or something of the sort, I would highly reccomend watching on that instead of a laptop. Now this could be me, but when I watch on my 360, the quality is perfect and there is no lag; my laptop is awful, half the time it doesnt even load and when it does the quality is very poor.

Always use my tablet when using WatchESPN, definitely have a better experience than the laptop.
November 24th, 2014 at 11:32 AM ^
Yep. Tablet is much better quality than laptop. Not sure why that is.

Get a Mac, then.

They probably allocate data between the services and lesser used ones don't get as much jitter and lag. Even streaming from phone WatchESPN to Chromecast often works better than laptop ESPN3 streaming of the same thing side by side.

do you have any idea if you can stream espn3 from a PS3?
edit: google says no.

I have problems with my Xbox 360 with lag, but I don't have lag issues on my MacBook. Quality is typically much better on the 360, however.

Will Espn or B1G put it up at a later time ?
November 24th, 2014 at 11:28 AM ^
I believe you'd be able to see it on ESPN3 later if you aren't able to watch it tonight. The BTN schedule going forward into this week, which I believe includes some of the games it intends to replay, does not currently list this one. I don't know if it is because of the nature of whatever reciprocating agreement the networks have or if it simply hasn't been updated. It seems like sometimes ESPN's agreements with various conferences allow for the content to be rebroadcast on one station but not the other, but it is hard to imagine this being an issue with the Pac-12 and Big Ten involved here.

glad I get to see them play live! :)

If you like following twitter during games, don't do it when games are on ESPN3. Generally the people at the game on twitter are 1-2 minutes ahead of the stream.

Anyone else gonna actually be at the game? Love that the team has been coming to NYC so frequently lately.

charges more for access to its programming than anyone else. It's hardly keeping the cable companies alive.
