Haven't been hearing much about these guys who supposedly still have interest in Michigan: Dennis Thames Sam Montgomery Denard Robinson Tana Patrick Any updates or info?

is the one I'd be interested in. It seems like with the D that Schaffer and RR run we desperately need very strong LB's who can really tackle in space and obviously that is not one of our current strong points.

from what i have read Sam Montgomery- we visited him and he promised us an official visit. dont know when it will happen though Denard Robinson- i think he ends up at florida. he is still considering us but it will be a tough job to get him off urban meyer's hands Dennis Thames- not much info on him. we still have a shot at him though. i dont know where he will fit into our team. is he a slot WR or a safety? we have plenty of safety recruits so maybe a slot guy is the perfect fit. Tana Patrick- dont know much about him. he recently came in the picture. where did he decommit from?

Patrick didn't decommit from anywhere, but it's going to be one of the bigger recruiting upsets of the year if he goes anywhere other than Alabama. Saban is putting up a Tressel-like fence around that state.

on Thames didn't sound too promising. Mom and Uncle (Detroit Tiger Marcus Thames) are pushing Michigan hard, but the kid knows that "he's the one that has to spend 4 years at whatever school he goes to". It could be worse, but his quotes didn't sound even generically enthusiastic about coming to Ann Arbor.

All I have to add is that Tana Patrick is a man. I liked him before the season started. I think he was actually rated higher than he was then too. If you get a chance to watch his highlight tape he looks like he's a monster. I really think we need to, either this year or next, get a stud LB to commit, rather than projects.
