"The Speed of Shoelace," by Six Zero
Recently used Denard Robinson as subject matter in an Art Class, and thought I'd share it with all of my MGoFriends. I purposely used wide, wet, blurry strokes for everything BUT Denard to imply his speed and grace. And also, because nobody cares about the UConn players gettin' toasted to the left.
Later today I might divulge a bit more on its creation. And maybe donate to the Cook household. Enjoy!

But have you thought about going to the University with this one? This should be next year's "All-In" shirt.

I'm pretty sure it can be sold as "art". I wonder where they NCAA rule draws the line. I've seen many artists at the art fair sell images and paintings of players. Heck even through the freep and the mgoblue site you can buy pictures that they've taken. I wonder, since other players are generally in the picture, it doesn't technically violate the rule.

You were only good at computer art - damn, I'm really jealous that you have that kind of ability, it looks really spot on and really good! (And if you did somehow do that on a computer then even more on you because it looks like an actual painting to me...)

Watercolor is hard! I am impressed.

That looks fantastic. Blazefire is right, watercolor is tough to work with, but you did an awesome job. Very detailed while still looking raw (meant in a good way).

I was never any good at water color. My medium is Prismacolor pencils. Very impressed.

I love Prismacolor pencils. Very expensive but they are the best color pencils to use because of how soft and great the colors cover.

Superlatives couldn't do your talents justice. If you could reproduce this for the Mgostore, I'd buy it and frame it. Awesome, incredible work!

I have absolutely no watercolor skill and appreciate the artform all the more because of it. The shading on Denard's jersey and pants (particularly the thigh pads) is great. I'd love to see a version of this where you superimpose the watercolor over the actual photo and do some light masking in Photoshop to paint detail in and out.

That is really, really cool.
